Well, I am not going to include the game results. But I sat next to the Fatterson family during a game. The father, mother, son, and daughter, took up six seats instead of four. Da g, that was brutal.

Returned from Iraq in late October 2005. My wife works at Vandy as a nurse. We went to the Vandy vs. U.T. game. Ended up losing the game at the last moment. This officially eliminated us from a bowl game that season..........

When I was 11 years old in 1984, a thermos was dropped from the upper deck and hit a guy seated in front of me and my dad in the head. His head split open and there was blood everywhere... and we lost to Kentucky for crying out loud. That is still our last home loss to them.

UF 2002 monsoon, 2003 UGA fumble to end the half, 2004 Barn game blowout and I got tossed for having mini bottles by KPD, double whammy.

2012 UF game. Bought tickets at the last minute because I was sure--absolutely sure--the Vols were going to end the streak.

Ended up sitting in the overflow UF section in the upper deck. The first half was enjoyable as they were fairly quiet. Second half was misery. Had to watch/listen to them Gator chomp and sing their alma mater over and over again.

UF 2002. It was supposed to be our turn. The final changing of the guard. Instead, we got a downpour of biblical proportions. Multiple fumbled snaps leading to easy points for UF. Awful, awful day.

1994 FL...pissing down rain, en route to a 31-0 beating.

2011..Tennessee curb stomps Buffalo. Some girl passed out (from being drunk) and fell into me at the concessions line. 2 cops watched then went back to her conversation. I had to remind them that someone just passed out cold and was now laying on the floor..

Then some idiot in the stands was taunting the Buffalo fans..that game was a blowout..

2010 hosting Oregon in a downpour, lightening delayed, watching Oregon score 45 consecutive points against a totally outclassed Vol squad. The Quack Attack could have scored 85 consecutive had they wanted to, just a horrible display of college football. Oregon was playing bigtime football, the Vols that night were barely playing peewee football in the second half. A miserable experience all the way around was had by yours truly that night.

Unfortunately, there wasn't much to cheer for that year.

My worst experience was the Georgia game in 1980, the opening game of the year, the game where the Vols helped annoint the introduction of Herschel Walker to the world. The game where the Vols let 15-0 at half and lost 16-15.

While that qualifies an absolute awful experience, it was compounded by having to sit next to an oversized dawg. I am about 5'8" and he 6'3" or taller, husky, and apparently strong. Back then, Tennessee sold coke in hard plastic cups that would hold almost a quart of liquid. Understandably, he was quiet in the first half but became very animated in the second half. He was drinking Kentucky bourbon mixed with coke in cup. Every now and then, he would refill the cup with more bourbon. By midway through the fourth quarter he was really hyped up. On one particular play where Georgia either made big yards or scored, he jumped up holding his cup and the contents of the cup kept on going up and pretty much landed squarely on top of my head as he was saying "Go, you hairy dawgs." Nowadays, he would no doubt be thrown out of the stadium. Cannot go around saying "Go, you hair dawgs" at Neyland. I was drenched with the sticky mixture sitting in Section DD which was full of mostly young people who looked at him with disgust but didn't say anything. It was a long evening.

This is going to sound sexist - so I apologize ahead of time. Our season tickets are behind a group of 5 women. Two of the women are awesome - totally into the game and cheering the whole time. Two are so - so, pay attention but not really into it. The 5th, texts the entire time and talks NON STOP to anyone around her. SHE WILL NOT STOP TALKING, no matter what the game situation is. She finally got the message from me that I'm not there to talk to her. Oh yeah, she's usually drunk and fell backwards into my lap once. I caught her and gently held her up until she regained her balance. She then proceeded to tell everyone I pushed her. What a nightmare.

I think she watched a grand total of 2 minutes of football last season. I'm hoping they don't renew - or at least she doesn't!!!!!

A couple of years ago, the ice machine in my suite was broken. Had to get ice brought up to us. There was a short period of time that we almost ran out. Don't fret for me too much thugh. That was the first and last time something that traumatizing has happened to me at a game.

1990 versus Notre Dame. About froze to death. I have this thing about staying til the very end of a game regardless of the score. 50 points up or 50 points down, I'm not leaving.
