With the other thread stating favorite plays, we need a least favorable plays.
For some of you young whippersnappers it just may be the the Florida Hail Mary against us. I'm sure others, as well.
One that stung me for the longest was the hob nail boot.
That one burned me the most because we had just ran a long screen pass and scored the go ahead touchdown. Then, with only .42 seconds left, Georgia came all the way back. Chavis' prevent defense prevented us from winning (again).
Then there is the Florida ghost TD catch against Fla in 2000 and the sweep stuff with Lewis the year before.
Then, there is this play that still triggers my desire for Majors to leave!
But, the one negative play that I have to say troubles me or has troubled me the most was the two point conversion Bama made against us in '93. I so felt that we were going to finally beat them that year and was excited too. Then, to have them drive almost the entire length of the field to not only score a touchdown but also get the two points was such a downer!
What say ye volnation? What are your most dreaded play(s) that you remember?
Dang dude you may need counseling lolWell...if the after affects of a game's outcome are considered...
I'd have to say Meechem's fumble against LSU in the SECCG in 2001 which cost UT a 2nd chance at a Natty in 3 years (against Miami in the Rose Bowl). The effects of that one haunted Fulmer & Co. for the remainder of his coaching stint at UT and then lead UT through the wilderness of the Kiffin-drama, orange pants and 5-star hearts.

This raises another question perhaps in another post. Is it always TN that has bad luck or makes stupid decisions to lose games in the last few seconds (Mostly the FL games - Hail Marys, bad calls, GA game in 01, pig Howard fumble in OT, Bama - letting them score in final seconds, etc). I don’t recall to many of our opponents who have returned the favor by doing something really stupid and giving us a win that should have been s loss. The only one I can think of is the 98 Clint Stoerner fumble. Have there been others or is it usually us grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory?
