Worst Loss of the JP Era

I’m going to go with Kentucky 2020. No reason to ever lose to Kentucky at home

I'll go with Arkie. They lost 19 straight SEC games and Pittman comes in in year 1 and beats Tennessee in Pruitt's third year. What makes me think this is the worst loss is that Pruitt griped about how talentless Tennessee was in his year one, yet Pittman (who had less talent than we did in year 1) comes in and shows how a coach needs to figure out how to get his team to buy in and win with what you got. You won't beat the Alabamas and Georgias with less talent but you convince your team in year 1 that they can win the winnable games. Pittman has done that, Pruitt hasn't.

All of them, just all of them. Not a pretty loss in the whole bushel basket that's full and overflowing by now.

GA State - by far.

Kentucky stings more at the moment, but... Kentucky is legitimately a better team than we are right now.
Arkie this year - It's embarrassing and a HUGE spotlight on our program's disfunction to lose to Pittman and the Hogs in (his) year 1, but... again - they are coaching and playing better.

GA State is the most damning loss. You should not have been able to TRY and lose that game. You should've been able to both coach and play terribly and STILL win that game.

When I try to quantify the GA State loss... I still don't have words. There aren't words.

Just want to remind everyone Georgia State kicked our ass. It wasn’t a close fluke victory at the end. They completely dominated us in that game. One of if not the worst loss in my lifetime.

How exactly do you define "worst?" The most painful? The most embarrassing? The one that cost you the most?

The most costly and perhaps the most embarrassing loss in the history of the school was probably 1996 Memphis.
OOOOOOH! Yeah! Totally forgot that loss. Dude's knee was down. But that was an expensive loss. Didn't Florida beat FSU in the Sugar Bowl/National Championship?
We weren't going to play for the NC anyway. So we got to beat up a mouthy, over-confident, Northwestern team.
