I lost a phone than dropped the new one in the crapper the day I got it. No replacements for me anymore.

At&t is less bars in more places. Worst coverage. Alltel was worst customer service. 3 months into a 2 year contract I moved to a place they didn't service and they wouldn't let me out of my contract. Cancelled and let it go to "collections" before I finally settled with them.

I think cell phone providers are like cable companies.. Once you sign with them they offically have your balls in a trophy case

I disagree, I have been all over with AT&T and while there are some places in the states(mostly in the TN area) that have spotty coverage, the same is said for all carriers. From my personal experience with Verizon, AT&T, Tmobile, and Nextel/Sprint, Tmobile has the worst coverage followed by sprint then AT&T right behind Verizon. When I was with Verizon, I couldnt even get a signal in my house, but have 5 bars with AT&T.

Consumer Reports has rated AT&T as the worst cell phone service provider for 2010. The verdict came from a survey of over 58,000 consumers, who rated AT&T to have unsatisfactory customer service, technical expertise, as well as data and voice services. (Ouch!)

U.S. Cellular, on the other hand, ranked at the top, beating out Verizon Wireless, Sprint, and T-Mobile—in that order—for the coveted position.

i didn't read the article but for some reason i was thinking most of the issues people had with att/cingular was on the customer service end. i travel alot from time to time and am with a variety of people with differing service plans. there are times we go places and i'll be the only one with service, other times they have it and i don't. i think for the most part we all pay alot of money (well my dad in my case) and expect to be able to call from a hole in the ground in the middle of tibet if we want, and that's not always the case.
