Worst Bray quote from post-game

My opinion this could be a 1 loss season! So we cant hang our heads.

We've got a long way to go and especially with Bama, South Carolina and UGA left on the schedule, I'll say an 8-4 season. If the Vols beat UGA and South Carolina, then there is a possibility of 10 wins. :whistling: In my opinion, BAMA is possibly the best in he country We'll see when they face LSU. SEC could possibly win the title again.

I saw over 100k fans bring it yesterday, and paid damn good money to do so, shut the hell up about the fans.

The fact that 100k people continue to show up for that pile of garbage is a testament to a pretty strong fanbase that is loyal.

Dooley and the team quits, the fans are the only ones who haven't.
I agree mostly. I didn't not like to see the fans bailing out like they did though. Besides that UT fans are among the most loyal fans. We have had it rough and most of us still bleed Orange.

As much as i'd like to get on Bray (sometimes he deserves it) I'll have to back him up in part it's not all his fault. Without any running game, the offense production is about 90% on his shoulders. If he screws up, messes or loses it; it's not like "oh well, looks like we'll have to go to the run". It starts and stops with him and we saw that with the play calling in the second half...pass, pass, pass.

If anything he needs to take charge and challenge the OL and tell them, "look...we don't run the ball it's going to be a long season. We cannot rely on the pass to bail us out. I'm only human, I make mistakes. The game is going to be won in the trenches. I cannot do this alone. Give me a running game and I''ll give you wins".

Sounds like pretty common human behavior to me.

Odd you would use that pic as your avatar. I am a Vol all the way, but my son unfortunately, is a Gator. That foam gator on Herbstreit's head belongs to my son. They asked him if they could borrow it for the picks on Game Day.

The fans quit after halftime. It wasn't nearly as loud in the 2nd half as it was the 1st. So many left after floridas 1st touchdown in the 2nd half

I see way too much crap being slung on Bray... He can't do it all on his own.

Yet, Chaney continues to put everything on his shoulders and expects him to carry the offense. Teach the line how to freakin' run block and get a SEC caliber back and Bray looks much better.

Maybe, like us, he is pissed about the play calling. I don't feel like he gives up...I feel like he is pissed and doesn't understand the reasoning for some of the asininie calls he is being told to implement.

"It was just not responding," Bray said. "We knew we were going to be ones to stop ourselves. We just fell apart ... It was the same kind of thing that happened last year."

Sounds like Bray and company were just waiting for the wheels to fall off. With that kind of attitude one mistake puts doute in your mind. Then the second mistake leads to panic. Then....another UT v UF melt down.

Gameday...Kiper/McShay hype...finally ranked...sold out stadium...in need of a signature SEC victory......

Under pressure pushing down on me....just like that Queen song. It was too much for him to handle mentally...got along way to go to be a matured leader as well as mentally ready to go pro.

Always thought Crompton's problem was mental also.

Yeah....it is the fans fault not Dooley's lack of motivating the team to fight on or make adjustments when Florida made their run.

LULZ.

My brother and I left 15 min after the game was over...we almost had to be told to leave....in my opinion, the alumni side is what is wrong with our fan base. The alumni side only stand up and cheer when its 3rd and short or we score. They need to call them out in the next game; they are motionless and are the main reason that, despite being the largest stadium in the SEC, we are at best 4th loudest.

This statement is a further example of Bray's lack of mental toughness. He clearly, too easily excepts failure and settles for it progressively as the game goes on. Dooley needs to strike match to the green #8 jersey and force Bray to learn how to extend a play. Without this skill, Bray has no chance at the next level.

I'm not trying to start anything by any means but has anyone heard of Tyler being tested for the drug abuse policy after the game?

No mention of the dropped passes by Hunter & Patterson. Don't put all this on Bray's shoulders.

it might help bray if we had a runningback averaging more than 3.4 yards a carry or whatever it is this season and im sure that number will go down in SEC play or we called a pass play that involved less than 20 yard routes when the other team is blitzing

I was at the game and saw open receivers often mainly JH and Bray would dump it off into coverage to someone who is blanketed. Or he would overthrow the reciever and start screaming at them like it was their fault. He's overrated. He will throw for 500 yards on Akron then throw for 153 and 3 INTs against UGA.

He is the problem

That's exactly what I think. Bray is mentally weak. Yea he has physical tools but mentally he is weak. I hope were getting a backup ready because Bray is close to shutting down mentally. He has no idea how to handle adversity. Spoon fed puss.
