Worst Bray quote from post-game

At this point I'm with you. All this talk about how great he is and all his potential to go pro. So go already, I'm tired of the talk.

Bray would be the real deal if he was playing at Tn Tech with David Ricky. He has no problem lighting up FCS schools

I saw over 100k fans bring it yesterday, and paid damn good money to do so, shut the hell up about the fans.

The fact that 100k people continue to show up for that pile of garbage is a testament to a pretty strong fanbase that is loyal.

Dooley and the team quits, the fans are the only ones who haven't.

Couldn't agree more. That was the loudest I have heard Neyland in years. The upper deck was literally shaking. The fans gave their ALL for Tennessee. The fans have every right to be upset.

Bray was not the only problem. Hunter and Patterson dropped 2 right in their hands. Unbelievably Z Rogers caught everything thrown to him. The D still don't play their assignments when the shifting around confused them. That is fixable. Killed us on the edge. That is fixable. Missed an extra point. Who is going to kick now.

except they (the fans) quit in the 3rd quarter too.

I remember the infamous "u-turn back to Neyland Stadium" years ago when we were playing UF and fans started leaving only for the Vols to comeback and win. Some of our fans have a history of leaving early when things get tough -- heck, a lot even leave when we're winning. A part of it has to do with the traffic nightmare due unique to UT's location and some has to do with the size of the stadium drawing a lot of people who aren't necessarily hardcore fans (with that many seats it happens).

However, much more of it can't be excused. That simply wouldn't happen at Bammer.

But like I said teams have rallied before when fans quit on them and ultimately our team, especially Bray, quit as soon as UF went up a score.

The fanbase has the same attitude. Losers on the team. Losers in the stands. I've seen some sorry football and some sorry fans over the last few years at UT.

As fans don't we just "follow" the team? What happened last night is all on the team there is not a thing anyone in the stands could do about it. The fans can pick a team up but they can't carry them. Everyone in the stands could see the teams body language and there wasn't a damn thing they could do to stop what was happening. The fans have seen the collapse so many times it's more sickening to stay and watch it then it is to leave. Sickening either way but trying to place any blame on the fans is just wrong.

What NFL team is going to draft a qb whose resume only includes wins over the Buffalo and Georgia St's of the world and has the mental toughness of a 9 year old beauty contestant who just lost her lucky pink bow and folds like a cheap lawn chair when the first sign of adversity strikes?

Oakland

Get off the fans. What exactly have they done over the last 13 years that's been worth a sheet?? The fact they still get 80 thousand in there to watch that horsesheet is saying something...

6 out of 13 teams had 9 or more wins, if that matters to you.

That's roughly half. It's they way they've lost games guy. Heartbreakers, blow outs and voodoo hex games. They've covered them all.... The fan base is flat burned out on bad football.......

I dont know if the team quit, fell apart or what. I did see Fla first team D-line taken out before half time to rest .They (fla) were less tired on both O and D than wee were.

"It was just not responding," Bray said. "We knew we were going to be ones to stop ourselves. We just fell apart ... It was the same kind of thing that happened last year."

Sounds like Bray and company were just waiting for the wheels to fall off. With that kind of attitude one mistake puts doute in your mind. Then the second mistake leads to panic. Then....another UT v UF melt down.

To me this tells the whole story....

There is plenty of time to turn this around, along with more big games on the schedule. 1-loss will not and does not define this season. Win some big games left on the schedule and we are back in business. In addition, some of you toothless UT students will be drunk tweeting "Bray-4-Heisman" like you were last week.

That sort of doubt results in what is called a foregone conclusion: if you expect to lose, you usually will.

Dooley is what 0-50 (slight exaggeration) against ranked teams in his coaching career. I'm sure at this point he doesn't expect to win and it has to rub off on the team. If Dooley wants to be a good football coach and learn how to win he needs to start at the bottom like everyone else and work his way up. He was given the head coaching job at La. Tech and at Tennessee because of his name. Actually winning football games has never been a requirement for him.

We left the game with about 8 min left, and this was the first time we had ever left a game early, no matter if we were winning or losing. Last night I could see what was happening, and was just so aggravated with this team. The main reason though was that I wanted to get out before the game ended because I did not want to listen to all the FL fans when the game was over. I was already pissed off enough.

Can you provide substantial proof of Dooley "quitting" ?

Serious question... its not rhetorical.

Bray would just cuss him out and move on. Dooley isn't going to do a damn thing to Bray.

Dooley is supposed to be an intelligent man. I wonder if he's smart enough to realize that Bray is destroying his career. We got one cancer off of the team. Time to get rid of the other.
