Worst Bray quote from post-game

Dooley is supposed to be an intelligent man. I wonder if he's smart enough to realize that Bray is destroying his career. We got one cancer off of the team. Time to get rid of the other.
I'm not so sure he's a cancer. I hate to assume anything about anyone i don't know or i'm not around. The thing i see is he's not progressing to the next level that he should. I don't know if he's all that serious about being a great QB or it could be the scheme, it sucks imo.....

At this point I'm with you. All this talk about how great he is and all his potential to go pro. So go already, I'm tired of the talk.

Until Bray proves he can play good against great teams,I really don't think too many NFL teams are going to take him in the first or second round. Mentally he still has a LONG ways to go before validating himself as a first round NFL QB.

I think I'll take it!

Sounds pretty good after what i saw last night. That isn't a very good team Florida brought in here. I suspect some teams will start showing us why here shortly..... Should have won that game....

I saw over 100k fans bring it yesterday, and paid damn good money to do so, shut the hell up about the fans.

The fact that 100k people continue to show up for that pile of garbage is a testament to a pretty strong fanbase that is loyal.

Dooley and the team quits, the fans are the only ones who haven't.

I love all the likes that your post got. It's awesome that folks like yourself continue to pat yourselves on your backs while walking out of the stadium before the game is over. I also love the booing of our own team. I'm sure the recruits love that also. :good!:

Can't really blame the fans. Did their part & showed up. Too bad the same can't be said about Bray.

Fans also didn't make Chaney abandon the run either.

Maybe I missed something, or maybe I didn't. I never thought the guy was the world beater that many claimed he was. He has a fantastic arm and fantastic size but to many on this board still fail to recognize that he is still very immature and can't read defenses. In the hurry up, the coaches are reading it for him. In the 2nd half when teams are disguising there coverages, he continues to throw into double and triple coverage. I don't think it's because he's giving up. I think he's trying to make a play the only way he know how. Chucking it.

I think our fanbase loves the Vols when their winning and are virtually worthless when their not. Just a quick look at the threads on this board will confirm that.

He is the problem

Although more talented, Bray reminds me so much of Ainge. If only David Cutcliffe could come in here and whip him into shape. Then, he could be the second coming of Peyton.

Because, Bray's biggest problem right now is that he doesn't seem to want it bad enough. He needs a coach to really push him and not accept anything but his absolute best.

Based on his attitude, maybe Bray doesn't even want to play pro football. If he does, he is going to find that NFL fanbases are much tougher than even Tennessee's and will not expect a nonchalant attitude after a loss. He is nowhere close to being ready to play in the NFL from a maturity standpoint.

How right you are...sadly. The kid has all the physical tools. You would think as he progresses through school that he would grow on the filed too. But, the beer bottle and jet ski incidents (while minor), show a deeper problem. He wants to scew around and have fun first, and play football second. That is not how the great ones roll.

I don't get it. We rip a kid sitting by a lake about "wanting it" like that's not important but now it's the most important thing. I don't think "wanting it" is Bray's issue. I'd say the kid is fairly competitive. I'd say that his issue is the cerebral part of the game and play calling. Ultimately it comes down to the same thing which is the offensive co-ordinator.

As with everything in life, there is a balance. I don't think he studies nearly enough to have a firm grasp on the cerebral part of the game. Especially when compared to the gold standard at UT. If anybody could rest on his laurels, it ias and was Peyton. But, you read the articles and his game preparation is still legendary.
Peyton probably understands defenses better than most DCs in the NFL.

I'm not saying Bray can't have a life, but greatness requires sacrifice. So far, he has shown that he is not willing to make it and so he flashes brilliance against inferior competition because he and his receivers can out-talent it, but struggles against good defenses.

I don't want to assume anything like that about him. The beer bottle and jet ski stuff, that's no big deal......I'll tell you this. If Tyler had a true power run game behind him to open up playaction with those two receivers, it could be something special. I think the kid is having to read too much coverage from Chaney's scheme. Let's face it. You put the ball in the air that many times some bad things are going to happen.

Who "ripped" him?

The fanbase has the same attitude. Losers on the team. Losers in the stands. I've seen some sorry football and some sorry fans over the last few years at UT.

No kidding!! The talent level and depth have been in the crapper, but I'm amazed by a bunch of the Vols fans and how they've acted.

Spot on Carter.... He's having to fight with one arm tied behind his back. This is the worst rb situation I've seen at UT since I started watching in the late 70's. Same with the kicking game

Nope. Should have made him a offer a long time ago. Steve will coach out his final years there at Carolina. He's a great coach. I have respect and resentment for him. Mostly because of the 90's.... He's good for college football and it will be loss when he finally retires..
