man we need one. Bodybuilding forums get so bogged down with people repping a product that you can't tell fact from marketing.

That's impressive, however, Johnny Long put it best when he said, "My stress in my weight room is we're never going to sacrifice weight over technique."

Good for him. I'll take technique over weight any time. Still, that's freaky impressive.

yeah, thats crucial because with guys lifting that much weight injuries would happen all the time with bad form. My shoulder aches just thinking about it.

Has anybody here ever tried kettlebells? I've heard they can be a good mix of cardio and strength training to mix up your routine/break plateaus, etc... I remember reading that the Titans started using them in their strength training program this year.

Its all about a high volume workout if your trying to burn fat. But the best way to really burn fat other then a diet is to walk on an incline for 30-45 min! Walking gets your heart rate at a steady pace and that burns fat faster. When you run your burning muscle as well. Stop eating Carbs after 7 at night and everynight make either Grilled Chicken and Green beans or Salmon and Frozen Vegetables. Drink at least 9 bottles of water a day and stop drinking sugar drinks and eating at (Fat) Fast Food Restaurants. If your trying to gain weight, muscle wise you need to take in as many good carbs and protein as you can! And you need to lift Heavy everyday when you workout! I started this about 2 years ago and I have been living by it ever since. Once you do it for a while it becomes a part of your life and you will not want to eat unhealthy! Try it out I just got my best friend who is a Minor league pitcher on it about 4 months ago and he lost 80 pounds! It works if you have the discipline to work at it!

you could start a thread in the pub like the WWE thread. I wouldn't name it bodybuilding though, it would scare people off. Maybe the health thread.

reminds me of the Cooper Kettle that used to be on Western Ave...

I've been on a good routine as of late. Last two months, my workout schedule has looked like this:

Sunday: Heavy lifting chest and back + Sprints
Monday: Full body circuit training + 30 mins. cardio
Tuesday: Off
Wednesday: Heavy lifting quads and hamstrings
Thursday: Off
Friday: Full body circuit training + 30 mins. cardio
Saturday: Off

I also do core every day, and biceps and calves on days when I'm in the gym. I've had to cut workouts short from time to time because of my right knee. The tendon is bad, so quad workouts tend to be a problem for me.

I've done this, combined with planning my diet better and cutting out soda all together. I only drink water anymore, and maybe 2-3 Gatorade or Arizona Ice Tea a week. I've dropped from 215/220 to 200 even, with noticeable difference, and I've been able to keep most of my muscle mass.

I've been doing a lot of cross training lately to get ready for my hockey league; mainly HIIT stuff. Got my first game tonight!

Been on about a 2 month rest from the weight room; getting laid off kinda threw a wrench in my gears. Probably going to start back at a new gym this Aug when my new job starts.

Any recommendations on gyms?? I've been with Gold's Gym for a couple of years. It's ok, but not really kept up that well.

I've been going to 24 Hour Fitness. Can get kinda crowded, but membership is cheap and the fact that I can work out literally whenever I want (yes, sometimes I do work out at 3am. I'm either up that early or up that late) is nice.

Sounds like the LA Fitness places here in ATL. I don't really dig crowded gyms.
