Women's March

My wife and daughter were making fun of them.

My wife and daughters were not making fun of them. They were proud and supportive of the large turnouts. I guess no one is surprised by that, as well as not being surprised that hogg88's wife and daughter were.

My MIL was also unsupportive of them. She spent several years in Saudi Arabia so she's pretty familiar with what actual oppression of women looks like. That's what cracks me up about that American flag hijab. If they tried this in the Middle East they'd be stoned. But they're terrified of living here.

I noticed at the march here one of the main leaders is also the head BLM malcontent. Shocking.

I had some hope for the country before visiting this thread. I am now scared for my future daughter. Some of you are just walking stereotypes. People have the right to voice displeasure, and the fact that the only thing you can come up with is making fun of how these women look reveals a lot about your character. You can hide behind a computer but I guarantee you wouldn't say the misogynistic things you're saying in this thread to your mother, sister, daughter, or wife. If you wouldn't repeat it to your loved ones face or you wouldn't want someone saying it about them, then you shouldn't say it about someone else. Looks do not matter. And yeah go ahead and say it's because I'm ugly too. Who the **** cares? My guess is you're not a model either. Stop using that as a defense.

It is sadly amusing to see what many on here consider to be funny. Just remember that they are not representative of the norm, just the lowest 10%. They can make fun of anything and about anyone, but as soon as you question their intelligence they start throwing the liberal elitist stuff back in your face. That seems to be their Achilles heel.

Correct, no one should be surprised because my girls are smart, independent women. They wouldn't be out wasting their time protesting without knowing what the hell they were protesting.

Watching some of the interviews with these women my daughter (23) said what rights don't we have?

March all day long because you are oppressed.....I get it abd that's your prerogative. At least have the wherewithal to know what you are really protesting about and also have some damn decency and ****ing clean up after yourself.

The post you responded to makes no sense.

Your response makes no sense.

Just more blah blah blah.

My GF who works in a man dominated field who "runs ****" was pretty hot about the whole thing. She is normally all pro women power and stuff, but she was honestly very curious as to what oppression these women were protesting about. Saw one protestor sign that said this

My mother and wife have posed the same question to me.

I think if the march organizers had just been honest and called it an anti-Trump/Republican rally, which is what it was, my mother, my wife, my MIL, and I would have been more accepting of them. As long as it stayed peaceful.

I don't get that sign, of course the woman holding it probably has no ****ing clue either. The last time I checked you don't have to have a background check to take a woman home with you, you don't have to keep a woman concealed, government buildings are not woman free zones ext.

I agree, just come out and say "we're protesting because Trump won". Have your march the clean up after yourself.

A gun has no rights.
Maybe Trump can end suffrage while he's at it.

I'm sure they are, and I'm sure you're not insinuating that mine are not. They are all 3 very successful and intelligent.

I simply said that no one would be surprised.

Apparently, some women are kind of like guns. Someone else picks the target, pulls the trigger, and hot air comes out.

I kid... I kid...

They would have been better served to have had an anti-trump rally and been done with it. As it stands, my wife and daughters were a bit insulted to have had their great gender portrayed as such.

Honest question: What were they protesting? You've mentioned that they are afraid that they'll lose their right to choose, that's certainly a legitimate concern. Not so much that Trump can change it but from a conservative SCOTUS pick that might be pro-life. I seriously doubt that happens though. But what else? Are they just mad that Hilary didn't win? Honestly, all I heard was a bunch of man hate and poor losers.

You sure to look deep into people's posts to find a possible insult.

No I was not insinuating yours are not.

Were your wife and daughters out protesting, without knowing what they were protesting?

What were they protesting?

Do you really have no clue?

I'm sure that if you asked 50 protesters, you would get a wide variety of responses.

I would say the following list would cover some of them:

Planned Parenthood
Pro Choice
Environmental concerns
Comments on women
Comments about Muslims
Comments about Mexicans
Supreme court appointees
Russian involvement
Education concerns
The overall nasty tone of his campaign
Making fun of the handicapped
The radical side of his supporters
The alt right concerns
Fears of increased racism
Non-inclusion
Concerns he will only answer to rich white men
The way he treated Hillary
The lies he seems to be telling
Gun laws
An outlet to show their disgust and embarrassment
To send a message to the world that many in America are outraged
To show their belief that the country is better than this
