But yeah, seeing as there's only about 10 schools in the country that actually make an effort to be good at women's basketball, they should shrink the field. It has to be flat-out embarassing for a 16 or 15 seed.

They should have double elimination tournament for the sweet 16 for women. They could have it over one 4-day weekend, with the games at the local high schools of the tourny host.

I serious.

The sport would be dramatically more marketable if they approached it more like the intermission dance squads do. I mean, non dancer type males actually watch the routines and I doubt it's for the education.
