I tried to watch that Fever/Storm game last night. Tuned in just after the start of the second Q. Maintained till the half. Tried again in the third and just couldn’t engage deeply enough to really “follow” the game. Checked out before the 4Q. I wasn’t going to hang around for that “roller derby Sophie moment”! 🤣😉🤙🏼

CC won’t be needing Dray or Sophie tonight, she’s out with yet another injury, this time left groin. I think it’s more likely just resting your star against a crappy team.

Speaking of the crappy Sparks, both Roberts and Hamby REALLY called out KP for her late game ball hogging. Holy moly this is rough, but God knows accurate:
Can’t imagine how that must have gone over. Also, you could have taken her out. We’ll see what happens tonight.

Then back to LA for Candace’s jersey retirement and playing the Sky again. But this time w/o Kamilla.

Pretty peeved at the Bonner situation. I think it’s grossly unprofessional. I am a gay man and think it’s abhorrent to allow your personal life and sexuality to dictate your professional life and affect others.

I knew it was a terrible idea when Indy signed her, there was no way that was going to work. AT hates Clark and Bonner was clearly washed toward the end of last season anyway. I said on twitter several times she would play fewer than 10 games in a Fever jersey and everyone dogged me.

What upsets me most is Megan McConnell, a talented rookie, was waived in order for Phoenix to pickup Bonner who is not playing well and only wants to be there for personal/private relationship reasons.

McConnell has a very good case for a discrimination lawsuit imo. Interesting situation.

It’s unbelievable. The league has got to adjust. It’s unwatchable, dangerous and detrimental to the players and the sport. You should NEVER have so much contact to cause a collapsed lung in basketball.

That’s a car accident injury. Christ.

Truthfully, Izzy Harrison is in NY for the same reason, to make Tash Cloud happy.

Rumor is Bonner went to Indy while in a spat w AT. All better now I guess. I agree, this is quite unprofessional when it comes to those highly sought after roster spots.

It’s absolutely opening teams and owners up to litigation imo. If I was cut and have my livelihood affected so someone could play with their girlfriend I would be hot under the collar.

One more reason to spend my time engaged in other activities. While I am well aware of the orientation of many if not most wnba athletes, I really don’t appreciate having my head held under the surface at the trough.

You post in this thread alot for someone who doesn't like the league or watch any of its games. Are you doing okay? Is it a cry for help? Or is it just a need to log off and stop hate-watching (hate-orbiting, really, since you don't watch), lord knows I've been there myself.

My primary interest is to follow the lady Vols at the next level. Caitlin’s career, honestly, has become as much of a draw for me personally as Rickea and Jordan.

I’ll do my fandom as I see fit. I certainly don’t need your fan forum psychoanalysis.

There's no "hate" in his statement. If we apply that word to everything, it will tragically cease to mean anything.

And there are now laws regarding and penalizing "hate," so that's even more reason to use the accusation narrowly and precisely.

We've used "fascist" as a pejorative to label anything we don't like, so that for the past two dozen years, when a gov't agency initiated a policy that actually was economically fascist... nothing got said because the correct term has lost its meaning and its connection to history.

The ultimate result is that we unwittingly move closer to what we all detest, and only the already most powerful gain from it.

Bonner leaving the Fever is all kinds of BS if it's because her wife isn't around. Why would both leave the Sun and go their separate ways? If true it's just a bad look. Bonner is going on 38 and is nearing the end of her impressive career. I doubt the Fever as an oranization wouldnt want the best on the court. Both Thomas and Bonner knew that before going to different teams across the country. Again could be completely wrong but it's seems obvious Bonner just isn't happy being with the Fever and wanted out mid season. That doesn't happen in the NBA.

Hate? Stating an opinion that differs from yours isn't always hate. Their is a reason the WNBA is mocked or made fun of. Like it not it's just the truth. Can you imagine the talk on social media if NBA players were dating or marrying each other? Their would be nonstop talk about it.
