Yeah Neyland was an oven during the UAB game last year. Off-topic, but related to game times. Has UT vs. Memphis kickoff time been released? I know it's not a big game, but it's my 21st birthday and I've got friends coming up to Knox that were wondering.

Yes, every SEC game will either be televised on CBS, CSS, or on ESPN Gameplan... that includes ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU/ESPNClassic/and ESPN Regional. Not sure if Gameplan is picking up the CSS games, but since it was a contract with ESPN and not with the SEC I would assume they would be too.

The only change from last year is that the regional broadcasts can now be at 12:30 AND in the afternoon.

Where did you read that some games would be on CSS? Not doubting, just curious.

The only kickoff times I'm aware of that have been announced are UCLA (4:00) and Florida (3:30).

I seriously doubt the Memphis kickoff time has been released.

I don't have a source or a link.....just a rumor.

I heard that Hamilton wanted this one to be his PPV game and that it would start at 2:30.

Money wise, it could be a good move putting it on PPV.....imagine the people that would buy it just to see the Kiffmeister's first game.

Hamilton said last year after the UAB game, that if we ever have the option of a night game during hot weather, he would take it. I would love an 8 o'clock kickoff. 9 is a little two late.

please be at 7:00 or later. I think this game (CLK's First) will have nationwide appeal, and would be a good choice for ESPN to put at the 7:00 ESPNU game.

GO VOLS!

The start time of the "game formerly broadcast by JP/Raycom" was backed up to 12:21pm to help with overlap into the CBS 3:30 game. Personally, I don't think 9 minutes will help that much.

SEC game TBA 12:21 pm ERTV / ESPN-GP (subject to blackout)

Their research shows differently. The JP game went final at an average of 3:41 ET over the last two years. For non-CBS stations, there was a one-segment postgame.

Kickoff for the CBS "3:30" game is actually 3:38.

Backing the game up by just nine minutes would have allowed something like 11 games over the last two years to get to kickoff of the 3:30 game without interruption.

The SEC ran the numbers and made the request, so the little change can have a big impact.

On another forum, an employee with my local (former) Raycom affilliate confirmed they would be continuing to show SEC football this season, but said it would be coming from ESPN instead of Raycom. No times or teams were indicated, but he did say that he expected the games to be in HD.
