Without saying your age, who was your favorite player when you first started watching football?

one of the things my Dad (UTK class of 43) was going to the PO at midnight on new Years to reserve cabin at Cumberland .Mth State Park... vivid memory of one summer was a fairy heated argument over the Eisenhower-Adlai Stevenson race.

I was 6 and guess it led me be to avoid talking politics with family and friends
Cumberland Mountain State Park was like my 2nd home while living in Crossville. My Daddy was a WWII veteran & voted for Eisenhower, which stirred up my partisan Democrat grandmother. How things change, eh?

Jay Graham. It mesmerized me how he could turn opposing teams' players into bowling pins.

Way ahead of his time. His 47 straight games with a TD pass was astounding for that era. Even in the current pass happy NFL only one person has beaten that in almost 60 years (Drew Brees). Based on friends who actually knew him, not the nicest person in the world, probably one reason he commanded the field so well. I remember when he’d throw a TD pass he’d just turn to the sidelines and calmly walk off with no emotion. No celebration of any kind with anyone. He knew he was good.
