I vaguely remember that game but it wasn’t till a couple years later I really started watching football with Len Dawson and the 69 chiefs

I'm 62. My dad used to take my brother and I to Knoxville. Dickey was coach.

I’m almost 65. I grew up in Chattanooga and my dad would take me to games in Knoxville. He was a 1950 grad thanks to the GI bill

You are right, but he was in that 1966 Gator Bowl. I think the entire game is on youtube. Also, former Giants head coach Tom Coughlin played for Syracuse in that game. He was either a back or a tight end, can't remember.

Just gonna name a few of my favorites as a kid. Brett favre, Steve young, Terrell davis, Antonio freeman, warrick dunn, Peter warrick, Manning, Marcus Nash, Tory Holt, Woodrow Dantzler, David Terrell , Anthony Thomas etc etc I watched a ton of football as a kid and watched every conference game that was on. Especially when we didn’t have many options. Whatever came on I watched.
