Nope, at the beach. OTOH, we were here this time last year when they had a 100 year snow fall.
No snow plows. Everything was shut down.

My nurse just told me Walmart was already out of milk and eggs yesterday evening.

I'd make sure if you have a fireplace you have plenty of firewood. If not, then a generator. This system jogging to the North means ice for us.

The Kroger in Nashville had long lines but plenty except Milo's sweet tea. Maybe that was temporary. Everyone was in good spirits and laughing at lunch.

I never heard of such until I moved to NKY and even then it seems like only in the last 10-15 years or so. Thought it was a local thing!

Yep, broke out the axe, sledge & wedges and split logs yesterday afternoon. Stacked firewood inside the garage. If freezing rain causes a power outage, I can keep a fire going for a couple of days.

Dear wife and I are stuck at the beach. She will have to survive eating a seafood platter. I'll have grouper.
The bad news is it's gonna be ice in Nashville. Water might be coming out the front door if we lose electriity.

I got some Mello Yello Zeros because I never see them in stock. The cashier asked me if I like Mello Yello. Then he said “Never heard of Mello Yello for an apocalypse”.

In Virginia, we are expecting up to an inch of ice on top of 8 inches of snow. The last time this happened we were without power for 4 days.

Happy Friday people. Make sure you drive on the roads for the most meaningless reasons and when you do go to the store but excessive amounts of perishable foods!

I was at Kroger in Green Hills last night. More people in there shooting videos of themselves pointing out empty shelves than there were people buying stuff. Oddly, the beer coolers and wine section were still full up...amateurs.

Our Walmart was opposite. Plenty of eggs adn stuff. No chips, or posinos snacks or anything. But, most meats were gone. Like what do you people normally eat that you got no meat in the freezer and have to go all toilet paper in the food aisle.

But, I showed them all. I just went to DG and got 2 cases of water from plentiful stacks.
