Windy's football discussion thread.

I like the aggressive play on defense. I think better players would help out a lot. That plus injuries have hurt the defense.
There’s receivers running wide open against our dbs on virtually every play and any time an opposing qb wants to take off and run the middle of the field doesn’t have a lb or safety or cb in sight.

tl;dr
Not having Arion Carter yesterday hurt a lot. He had been playing better as the season progressed.
When we got the interception, we were in zone and rushed FOUR.
I wish people, including Gary Danielson, would STFTU about putting a "spy" on the QB to fix issues on defense. All. the. time.
The LBs have to know their gap assignments and have to stay home. Period. A lot of people put this on the DC, whatever, but that's a discipline/execution and not a scheme issue at all.
People didn't realize how much better Hadden was after the Florida game. We've missed him.
Losing him and then TMc yesterday hurt a lot.

The safety play on the long pass Cook completed (moving left to right on the screen) with the receiver falling down (thank goodness) was maybe the worst safety play I've seen this year.

I agree with all that if the game yesterday was the first time my observations came into play but it’s been happening all year.

I will also go on record saying that if Jimbo's getting a $75 million buyout and he decides to come back and coach elsewhere, he is a Fahrtruckin Idiot with these Treasury rates
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

With the interest alone, he should be able to make it comfortably.
I'm pretty sure that I could make it comfortably if I just had $75 mill stuffed into a ton of pillowcases. No interest needed!

--off to pick up a few more Treasuries

or it could be the Good Ol Boys down there are jealous that Texas is having such a good season -- WTF would agree with that

It goes beyond Texas having a good season. A&M fans have a delusional sense of where they are in the college football universe. They believe they are on par with Texas, OU, Bama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, Clemson, and Tennessee because they have money. Look at their trophy case; they aren't.

Milton has the game of his career next Saturday, and the other QBs on the roster bring it home vs The Kybos to complete the season…
