Will we hear anything monday?

A 3-5 SEC mark is a joke for a program that spends money on football facilities like we do. The D is letting down due to coaching. They are not coached up - plain and simple. Who cares about 8-5? Whoop de f**kin doo. He needs to be canned today. And if you think we're keeping Hunter, you are smoking some major crack.

Tennessee is losing money because people are not going to the game...People pay alot of money for tickets and they at least want their money's worth...that is not happening right now. To win one SEC game in three years is not going to be acceptable. I like Dooley, but you have to what is best for the program, and if you can get Gruden in as coach then get it done as soon as possible and see how Tennessee recruits from then on...lol :peace2:

It's done, CDD is finished. I have talked to a janitor, who knows an attendant at Neyland who said he's finished. They also said, that the GOP was giving us 25 million to buy a coach. Now that's a far stretch that I can't believe.:good!:

Can't wait for the "Rumor of Press Conference Announced tomorrow" thread that will surely come tomorrow evening. It will be followed by "Heard this from a reliable source so don't shoot the messenger" and blah blah...sooo much fun!

Excuse me. My fault.

2010. 6-7
2011 5-7
2012 possible 8-5.

I feel that's an improvement.

Actually it is not much of an improvement at all.

Beating Troy, GA state, Akron, UK, vandy, Mizzou, and NC State is not impressive.

You think we beat Mizzou? UK is a question mark, too, with all the controversy around Dooley. Hell, even Troy isn't guaranteed.

I do think that with everything going on there will absolutely be either a vote of confidence statement or a sayonara statement from coming from Hart in the very near future.

Nothing will happen till after the season unless they lose to Troy. It will take an ugly loss on that level for something drastic to happen

The Tennessee Volunteers are 3-4, 0-4 in the SEC, and a third straight losing season seems likely for coach Derek Dooley. Who might the Volunteers seek to guide the team next? There's a sentiment among the fanbase to go for Jon Gruden, former head man of the Oakland Raiders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL and current announcer on Monday Night Football. ESPN.com SEC blogger Edward Aschoff says the hire would make sense, but he also wants to give Dooley a chance to save his job before we assume a regime change:
- Vince Verhei

Edward Aschoff
Why Gruden could come to Tennessee

"If Tennessee decides to make a coaching change, I think Gruden has to be at the top of athletic director Dave Hart's list. I think he'd fit in well in the SEC, and could be a heck of a recruiter with his personality. Gruden has ties to Tennessee -- he met his wife while working with Tennessee's staff -- and he knows East Tennessee very well. He's very close to that area, and I have no doubt he would be interested in the job if it came open. Now, he could be pretty expensive to bring in, and with Tennessee's financial issues, plus Dooley's buyout, it could be tough to swing it. But if there's a chance of being able to afford Gruden, and Hart believes it's best to sever ties with the current coaching staff, then I think Tennessee would go after Gruden. But Dooley isn't out the door. He could still guide this team to eight wins, and if he does that, he should be back in Knoxville next year."

Excuse me, how in the hell are you counting a bowl victory without knowing the team we play. You don't know? My fault.

Humm.. Maybe had you read my other posts that led up to that...

I said IF we get a bowl win. I don't need to explain further.

But for the sake of those hard of learning, I will.

It's called reading, reading comprehension and informing yourself. Learn how to do those things and you'll set yourself up for success! Practice makes perfect! Go for it! I believe in you!

And I wasn't being facetious when I said excuse me. I was being genuine. I had made a typing error in the post I had made before that one and said excuse me, my fault. I was merely correcting myself.

Yeah. Your fault.

But thanks for the laugh before bed. Though it's at you, and I hope it's at the alcohol and not your actual intelligence.

Oh hey. Btw. Do you know what the word possible means? When I said..

"2012. POSSIBLE 8-5!"

Let me educate you since you don't seem to understand how to do that yourself.

pos·si·ble**
/ˈpäsəbəl/
Adjective
Able to be done; within the power or capacity of someone or something.

So it's POSSIBLE...we go 8-5...IF we win a bowl game.

if**
/if/
Conjunction
Introducing a conditional clause.

Do I need to define "Conditional" for you? I learned it in probably 3rd grade. Remember 3rd grade? Yeah I'm sure you do.

THAT'S called sarcasm. I'm sure you're well aware of how to be sarcastic and it's definition since I picked up on a little of yours in your last post. But then again...

I don't see Dooley getting fired at all. I see him lasting through next season. Especially if he can keep Bray, Patterson and Hunter. I'm not being sarcastic either. We can still win the rest of the season and get a bowl win. 8-5. An improvement. The D is letting is down more than anything else. Dooley will stay.

Oh man! Hee hee hee!

You got me good! I remember that skit.

Pretty funny I tell you what!

Boy howdy!

Look I get fans want Gruden or someone else. Do I think Dooley gets it done here? Probably not. But do I think it's smart to keep paying buyouts until we have someone who wins? Not exactly. Tennessee may have money but they aren't made of money. Bettering your W-L each year is our goal. I feel Dooley still has a chance to do that this year. We have competed in every game we've lost besides Alabama. But who has? We have a coach who plays by the rules and has the quality of character we want in a coach. Our secondary hasn't played well. We have had some key injuries. We didn't have Rajon Neal or Randolph for starters and lost by 3 at #13 SC. I don't care for moral victories but at least the players get something out of them. They are progressing. With more money coming into SEC schools from the new tv contracts we will be in the drivers seat in getting anyone we want bc we'll actually have the money to do it in the next year or 2. Dooley has done his job and we are a few bad plays away from winning all those games. The AD isn't just running the football program. They have a thing called a budget. Having a balanced one and even better a surplus is a good thing! Have some patience. I want to win now too. But think about the time between our last NC's. Nearly 50 years. Have fun guys. The team, Dooley and the AD know what's up. If the boosters want to unload money to pay buyouts, fine, but they understand the true ramifications of doing so. Keep talking about not going to games and supporting the team. Be whining little babys and sit in the corner and suck your thumbs and let the men run their business. You bleed orange? Keep it orange. It's easy to be upset. But understand the state of things and we all knew what we were about to be in for. Blame it on Fulmer, Kiffen, Hamilton or Hart if you want. I don't care. But if you're true Tennessee fans stop crapping all over them and us who are and support the school and team. The SEC is crazy strong now, more than ever and whatever happened to get us where we are is unfortunate, but we have to deal with it, and hopefully deal with it in the most positive way possible. Go to the games. Drink it up. Have fun with your family and friends and enjoy some Big Orange Football!!! Support the team and school. Show the recruits we want that we aren't going to lynch them and light up torches if they have a bad game. These boys have had a lo of coaching changes and chose to come play for Tennessee and STAY. Respect and love them for it! Show the recruits we aren't some unstable, unreasonable, illogical and hateful fan base. Show them that no matter how far we're down we'll support them to the fullest. Just like we want them to fight no matter how far they are down. We'll get there! We're TENNESSEE! Have faith, bleed orange! Go Vols!!!

Btw. Meth is a hell of a drug. Y'all need to stop that $#%^!!!
