Yeah. He's a horse's rear end to deal with. He ran off 11 players in his last 4 years at UCLA, he alienated alumni and everyone in the Athletic Dept, and all of the area HS and AAU coaches hated him and wouldn't recommend their players to go there. Plus, he didn't get his team past the first round in his last 5 years at UCLA and didn't even to the tournament in two of those years. And this was at UCLA!!

Unless Howland has family members on VN posting how great he is, I don't understand the appeal.

27 five star or four star recruits in last 10 years coaching.

I'm sorry, but I want recruiting classes so good that my 93 year old mother could coach them to an Elite 8.

I don't care about body painting, charitable work, or butt kissing the Knoxville society matrons. I want WINS and I don't really want to have to worry about whether our gameplan is better than Billy Don's or Coach Cal's.

I want X Box easy setting wins.

Hart also reached out to the Marshall coach that was just fired recently. Let me clarify, Hart didn't likely reach out, but as the OP said someone in his group. I would say there were probably ~50 different people reached out to, that's the way this works.

I would say just like the Marshall coach, that Wade is waaaaaay down the list, nothing against him as in time I think he will be a good one.

Yeah, I'm not going to log out for calling out you and the hundreds of other posters like you who cannot go five minutes without bringing up Bruce Pearl. It's obnoxious, it's not pertinent to the discussion, and he's the head coach at another school. Get over it.

Wade is an outstanding coach and non stop recruiter....this will be one we will look back on someday and say..."We had a chance to hire him".....But there may be other candidates ahead of him that would be more right at the present time...But trust me....if we HAVE to fall back on Wade....we wont be disappointed....

If you lived in Chattanooga you would know that would be far from wrong. The fans at UTC are very excited with Will Wade and the vast improvement he has brought to the program in one short year. This is by far the best shape UTC has been in years....maybe ever. With the football team, men's basketball and women's basketball....things are finally bright for the Mocs.
