Are you seriously trying to convince anyone that SPORTSWRITERS are NOT BIASED?????????Correct. It's unbiased.
If you're trying to convince anyone that SPORTSWRITERS are NOT BIASED?????????
Are you kidding me???? If they were NOT BIASED, PM would've won the Hypesman in 1997..... as MANY SPORTSWRITERS vote on the absolute JOKE of a Hypesman....
The award would have more SUBSTANCE to it if it was awarded by the PLAYERS themselves who actually compete on the field.

Inform yourself. He had the game salted away till SS playing prevent got beat deep.
That same Ravens team beat the Pats and won the SB.
I watched the game as it happened.....it is true that Denver's Safety screwed up on that prayer that Flacco threw up, but the Ravens were within one score because they shut Peyton DOWN for most of the day and forced them to kick FGs instead of putting up TDs.
You're fumbling on this one in an attempt to say that there are actually no individual awards in professional football.
No standard by which one is judged against another.
By this logic, there is no such thing as GOAT either.
Your "hill" is an island.
The major flaw in your popularity contests as science can be shown with two examples. When Peyton had to SHARE that 2003 MVP with Steve McNair...whom he bested in statistics and swept in TWO head to head wins, was he only half as valuable or great? Or was that contrived and machinated by sportswriter because McNair was POPULAR due to his legendary “toughness” and they wanted to reward that? Another is Mark Mosley...a ******* placekicker, won the thing in 1982 and missed three extra points! Helluva guy...not in the HOF but he’s got a MVP...popularity contest.Just getting perennial also-ran Colts to playoffs a major achievement, which is why he won MVPs in 03 and 04 and All-Pro 03, 04, 05.
You must be drunk to think that ANY SPORTSWRITER'S opinion sets the STANDARD by which NFL players are measured. It's one of he greatest TRAVESTIES in all of sports to have those leeches making any significant decisions on anything--especially when most of 'em are like FINEBUTT and have NEVER worn a jockstrap.
It's those STUPID sportswriters who REFUSED to induct Ray Guy---arguably the BEST PUNTER to ever play the game in the NFL--into the HOF for all of those years. It just goes to show you that IGNORANCE is RAMPANT in ANYTHING the Sportswriters rule over.
There ought to be a PLAYERS COMMITTEE composed of former players from every NFL team over the age of 50 making the selections.
The final was 38-35. Not a FG game.
Denver D gave up 480.
Sorry....I was wrong about the Broncos kicking FGs....but I did remember that there was something in that game other than Manning's performance that helped Denver.
And it was Trindin Holliday who ran back a punt and a KO return to put 14 points on the board for the Broncos. Manning NEVER had anything salted away in that game. Holliday had pulled their butts out of the ditch twice just to keep them in the game.
But even though Denver's Safety screwed up to allow the RAVENS to tie the game and send it to overtime, it was MANNING who threw the INT near the end of the first OT that allowed the Ravens to get into FG range to win the game. Funny how you intentionally left that little tidbit out of the discussion. Biased much????
