If Jarrett comes back necks year I will actually root HB on to beat him out.

Fortunately the NCAA is working on this, but Cade Mays is sitting out

JG would definitely come back. We can’t seem to move past him. Probably have a speech like: “I’m gonna make my decision and never look back...I’m seeing 4 more years of orange.”

This rule would be awful for all classes below them. I hope it doesn’t officially pass.

I'm rooting for this mid year this year. Especially if the season doesn't count, love for HB to get quality game time against SEC competition. Make him that much more valuable and prepared for his "freshman" season.

LMAO, this reminds me of an old high school coach I had that taught our health and wellness class. He used to say, “people, there are two things that stay with you for life, your momma and the Herpes Simplex virus!”
GBO!!

So this is the rationale the NCAA uses. We are going to give student-Athletes an extra year even thought it is possible a student-Athlete can play within their conference for a full year. However, we are not going to allow a student-Athlete in good standing to transfer back home to play at his father and mother's alma mater and play with his younger brother. Especially since we have allowed almost every other transfer to be permitted, even to the school that this student-Athlete is transferring from. Somehow one is good for the student-Athlete, but the second one is against the rules. I think everyone is tired of the NCAA and its time to move to a Power 5 model where the Conferences elect a Chairman and all the bowl games and basketball tournament is for these schools, with allowing a few teams from other Conferences when it is warranted. The NCAA is a disgrace.

If this year does not count towards eligibility will JG be back next year?

It's not clear to me how this will be handled, there will not be room for all the players with eligibility on the roster. The transfer option will also be taken away because every team will be cutting players with eligibility.

Right on all levels. To me the blatant hypocrisy is what happened with the UNC baskeball team. Break it down - a school comes up with a fake class for two decades and no punishment, but they railroad Bruce Pearl. Not saying Pearl was right, but his crime pales in comparison and he was thrown under the bus to protect the program.

A couple of weeks ago I posted it seems like JG has been here 8 years and with the current Covid situation there will probably be some rule change to allow more years...It was tongue and cheek when I posted it, but darn if it just might happen.

If JG runs through the T for his last time toting his kids in both arms...I will not be shocked in the least.;)

With his grandchildren sitting in the stands chanting 40 more years, JG rolls his wheelchair through the T, ready to play at football!
