Due to the 2021 COVID rules in place Hooker is eligible to come back for one more year of College football. I hope he comes back but what is everyone hearing? I am sure he will of course say he focusing on finishing the season. Blah blah blah

Thank you very much sir. My dad played baseball and basketball at UT and my uncle teaches in the MBA program and UT. My uncle has had season tickets for over 40 years. He takes his houseboat to every game (minus this year) and parks it in front of Calhouns midweek. My dads side of the family lives in Knoxville but I live in Raleigh, NC. I have been going to games ever since I was a baby and UT will always be my team!! GO VOLS

Hard to say. It’s been said this years draft class is fairly weak for QBs. Hooker is already getting a little draft buzz. If we were to somehow beat UGA and he puts up some great stats in that game and the last 3? I would be willing to bet he would shoot up the draft board and he is gone. Now is that likely? Probably not. But who knows?

I see him coming back, much like a Kenny Pickett situation. Hooker can go from a 4-5 rnd draft pick to a fringe 1-3 rnd next year. He has a similar year he'd only have Bryce Young, and CJ Shroud in front of him. DJ from Clemson isn't close.

True, even if he doesn't beat them but throws for 230 and 2-3 tds with 0int I think he moves up or solidifies a 3-4rnd pick.

It’s a weak QB class this year. My money is on him leaving

Yes, I think he will come back too. I think he see what UT is building and a major part of that is because of him. He seems like a loyal genuine guy that will want to see what he can do being the starter from day 1.

I think you maybe right especially if the VOLS play well against UGA. I see scenarios both ways where he could come back and where he could leave depending on his draft stock. I want him to play well but not so well that he wont come back. Haha. It’s a double edge sword

Is Hooker better than Dobbs? No. Dobbs went in the 7th round, so if I'm Hooker I stay even though it's a weak class he could rocket himself into the 1st or 2nd round with a great season.

Dobbs went in the 4th round and had quite a few more big game highlights. I’m not sure I would say Dobbs is better though. Yet to be seen. Hooker is a more accurate deep ball passer which would translate better to the NFL. One more year in the system under Heupel is a wise move regardless.

He's a 5th year SR and he's shown enough at this point to get drafted.

He gone.

If he grades to the first3 rounds, he should go. If not, then he has a chance to come back and be a Heisman candidate and get drafted in the first 2 rounds. I really don't know, but if he does well in the last 3 games and bowl game, he can keep moving up the board. If he is top 4, he is likely gone.

I stand corrected on what round it was, but I still think Dobbs was a better all-around player. I do agree that staying another year would be helpful for Hooker.
