Why should Fulmer be fired?

Hamilton was the guy Fulmer wanted as AD. He's not going to fire Fulmer anytime soon.

Another stupid statement. You don't have to be an auto mechanic to know a car sucks. You don't have to be an actor to know if a movie is good or not.

Possibly, your not either of the two you just mentioned. Anyway, it doesn't matter. I like Fulmer, its not my decision what the university does. I support them in whatever course of action they take.

I think that most of the fanbase falls into that category. A few of us (me) would throw a party if he goes and a few would be bitter for decades to come. Most people probably wouldn't give a ratt's butt.

Lets just say if they did fire CPF who would we get? Make a coordinator head coach that would help huh?? Cutcliffe did good at his previous head coaching spot!! D-1 teams would jump all over Phillip Fulmer if he was released!! SEC is going to be a tough conference to go undefeated in cause the opponents are more and more becoming on an even level. I don't know if you really think we're going to run the table every year or what when how many SEC teams are in the top 10 in the recruiting rankings?? For one i'm glad we have him as a coach and believe everything will pan out.

And one more thing how many teams come back from seasons like last year and win the SEC??

Fulmer's not getting fired..
He rehired Cut, and won 4 more games than last year..

He would have to have multiple losing seasons before he's shown the door.

I asked this in a another thread but I'm really curious as to why people want to see Fulmer fired? Will that automatically make us national championship material without him? I'm serious, I'd like to see a well thought explaination without the usual BS because talk.

There is absolutely no one that can convince me that Penn State has better talent. Fulmer is NOT a pressure game coach.( what about the NC game in 98)? Simple! even the sun shine on a dogs a$$ once in a while. Plain and simple he was outcoached by a man that was sitting in the booth. They were better prepared and played more inspired than we did. This is starting to be the SOS for every game. Especially Bowl games. It is time for the "AW Shucks" brand of motivating to go and bring someone in that can deliver a kick in the pants and can coach great talent to play inspired and to get good talent to play great. Tradition alone will not bring the elite athlete to your program, however winning and national notoriety will. Lets face it, our national notoriety consists of let down after let down and the unwillingness to make the moves to get back to national prominence. While the USC's and Notre Dames continue to dig and scratch to make their names and keep their names at the fore front. We wallow and wade in mediocrity.

How's that for not being the same old BS?

indyvol you really didn't say anthing that others don't know. And by the way i think Phil is bringing the athletes to the program just fine!! cause they are getting in some how check out the rivals rankings. cause if you didn't see two weeks ago and man by the name of Eric Berry committed and i thought that 4th in the nation was elite but maybe not. I guess top 5 recruiting isn't good enough for some of yal.

Who cares if recruiting is great if you can't get anything produced out of those great recruiting classes....

Fulmer = great recruiter but poor coach and motivater....

And by the way i think Phil is bringing the athletes to the front door or maybe the back door or the garage cause they are getting in some how check out the rivals rankings. cause if you didn't see two weeks ago and man by the name of Eric Berry committed and i thought that 4th in the nation was elite but maybe not. I guess you missed the point about getting great players to play inspired and good players to play great? I also watched a Coach get his 880th basketball victory today and throghout his career beat better teams with average at best talent. It's called coaching( actually it's called teaching). These guys need to be motivated by whatever means necessary, the same old song and dance of tradition and history no longer get the job done, because lets face it, tradition is what you do today and history is what you have done lately.

Same BS, you just stretched it out more than the others.

Penn State is a solid team and yes they probably were more talented then us. Look at their losses, Michigan, Ohio State and Wisconsin, all Top 10 teams. I'm happy with Fulmer and I'll say it if we went 0-12 next season. Have a good night.

Now, now, watch the personal insults. If my kids went 0-12, life goes on. We'll play another day. By the way you can call me James.

I don't know where your getting the Aw Shucks attitude from, did you see Phil get after Heffney when he caught the punt inside the 5.

They're developing they just need to play with some heart like at the beginning of the season. Coaching can teach a team to play but it can't play for them

yeah what do you say in that situation?? you know what you did, Fulmer told him what he did and did he do it again? If some of yal have seats on the bench and heard the conversation hook me up with tickets next year

I'll just answer the quetion asked to start the thread.

No, Fulmer should not be fired, now Kurt Roper's a different story.

Our RB's sucked all year.
