Why should Fulmer be fired?

Maybe Fulmers naysayers are right. We fire Fulmer, we end up like Alabama, no coach wants to come here unless he gets 10 years for 40-50 million. Miss out on recruits without a coach. Sounds good to me.

UT has had 2 football coaches for the last 25+ years. Thats totally unmerited.

it forced a fumble against lsu, air force runs the option and it was the week before UF. We had a phantom call against UF, and it was on the field for most of the game and "it tried its best" ...thats just stupid.

Oh wow, we forced a fumble... now I know why Chavis is getting a raise... Who cares if Air Force runs the option... Navy stopped them.

Against Florida, the luck went our way...

Okay, I can see no one can give a good explaination on Fulmer being fired. Its the same thing over and over again. No good reason just because. Take care friends.

Because coaching changes worked out horribly for the likes of OSU, and Florida.

What did UT basketball ever do before Pearl? Wait, I know the answer...what are we doing now with Fulmer?

Who are you anyways, Fulmer's agent??? Do you go on Message boards and figure out how to argue a point with Mike Hamilton on why Fulmer needs to stay and there's no good reason to fire him??? I'm sorry my friend, WE ARE TIRED OF BEING AVERAGE!!!! I want an SEC East Championship at least and at most an SEC Championship. If you want to be average or below go root for Vandy or something.

Okay Coach, just to be fair. How long do you give Fulmer before you give him walking papers?

Tisk..Tisk...My father graduated from UT and I have been a follower and supporter of the university for years. You may think you are average but to me Tennessee is and always will be one of the finest programs/universitys in the country. Do you ever think potential recruits visit message boards? Darn right they do. Negativity gets a person no where my friend.

I asked this in a another thread but I'm really curious as to why people want to see Fulmer fired? Will that automatically make us national championship material without him? I'm serious, I'd like to see a well thought explaination without the usual BS because talk.

We are finishing 4th and 5th in the SEC. We haven't been to a BCS bowl in years. We aren't competing at the top of the SEC any more. We aren't bringing in the all-Pro caliber talent any more, so Fulmer's lack of coaching is not getting covered up.

He is a solid leader. Our team is constantly competitng year in and year out despite last seasons horrific record.

Does every coach succed year in and year out? No, the team is in a little flunk as of late. Is that any reason to want to fire our coach. No. Nobody wanted his head after '98, did we? Name me a program outside of USC and Ohio State who are in the top 5 every year?

Its typical nature, fire the coach, we get better. Prove it.

We aren't asking to be in the top 5 every year. Why don't you Fulmer supporters get it? We would be happy with an SEC championship, top 5 finish, and a BCS game once every 4 or 5 years. That is not that much to ask. There's not a person here who is expecting UT to win championships every year.

As far as competing, that is utter BS. Vandy competes as well if we follow your definition of competing.

Maybe the coaches should come onto these boards after game losses and ask for help. Certainly with all the opinions they would never lose a game...heck we would be champions every year...:eek:lol:

Another stupid statement. You don't have to be an auto mechanic to know a car sucks. You don't have to be an actor to know if a movie is good or not.
