If he has had enough reps to look decent at this point he should play. At this point theres nothing to lose by doing everything you can to set up for next season. Call this an extremely early spring practice. They're gonna say because he hasn't had enough reps with first team, he doesn't have the arm, etc.
Crompton has played worse than any QB I've ever seen at the D1 level. Nick Stephens has played okay, but anyone would look spectacular compared to JC. Why not give BJ a chance to play? There is absolutely nothing to lose. See what this guy can do!
The real problem in the O-line. No QB can perform with they way they are performing.
They are the real mystery of this team. Only two sacks last year, great off season weight work, one more year experience, NFL contracts on the line, and the worst line we have seen in years.
4 sacks last year was due to ainge getting rid of the ball or that stat would have been alot higher than that
The coaches have said that BJ is the smartest QB on the team, but he doesn't have the arm of Stephens or crompton. If this is true why the hell not put in BJ? We all know that Ainge didn't have arm strength, but made great reads and smart throws(most of the time).
