Why not Franklin?

Franklin ought to be on the list, but not too high on the list. Franklin has yet to have a class of starters that he has both recruited and developed. He is doing a much better job with Caldwell's players than could have been expected; however, taking Franklin now would mean only one thing: everyone else turned us down.

Franklin has done a great job at Vandy! But, there is NO WAY Tennessee goes after the coach at Vandy! There are many other great coaches that can turn the Tennessee program around.

He's really working with Johnson's players. Caldwell wasn't HC for a full season. He took over in June and resigned in November.

While I do think he is a solid coach he needs to beat some teams with winning records before being considered for a big time jobs like TN. If he becomes a candidate for this job that means we have struck out with every big to medium name on the list.

There are about three guys that could bring us back to where we used to be in the SEC quickly. Gruden, Stoops, and Petrino.

Petrino has never won anything.. what makes people think he could lead us anywhere but to the gutter his bike crashed in?

Oh ya.. and franklin blows.

Whoever hires him away from vandy, will be a laughing stock in 2-3 years when all he does is barely gets them to a bowl..


If he became the HC at Tenn, that would be the one thing that would make me turn in my fan card.

He wouldn't be high on my list but definitely worth consideration. He hasn't beat anyone of consequence yet but has won more at vandy than anyone in a long time and is building up their team with excellent recruiting. It's stupid to disqualify him as a candidate just because he looks like a penis with ears.

If Gruden, Stoops, Mora, and Fisher pass, Franklin would be next in line for me. He is a rising superstar.

Then James Franklin has to be the next call. I don't care about pride. 8 wins and a top 15 recruiting class. Make him say no and who cares about the shame if he does! He simply is a great candidate!!

Franklin is a rising superstar. He'd be the on my list after Gruden, Stoops, and Mora.
