He obviously can recruit, and his hire would slap Vandy back to their rightful place at the bottom of the SEC and give Franklin a larger engine behind him to score even better recruits. Yes, because vanilla coaches that give canned responses are the way to go in today's college football scene. Please tell me what 'dirty play' are you speaking of? And the question I'm posing would love to see backup, not some nonsense you overheard from a hot dog vendor who's brother's wife know Franklin's sister's gardener.

We've done the smarmy, cocky guy. That didn't work out too well either. And what difference does it make if a coach's responses are canned? Are clever quips going to produce wins? Most I've ever seen them do is embarrass or annoy people.

Vandy's linemen were accused of dirty blocking multiple times last year by multiple opposing teams. I'm not sure if they've been accused this year or not.

Briles
Gundy
Dykes
Tubbs

I just can't see James Franklin doing the turncoat thing and coming here but I've seen weirder things happen. He's recruiting out of his mind for sure though.

you all are freaking crazy... I would never ever ever want a Vandy coach.. I don't care how good he is at Vandy. Let him win a few years, get picked up by some team out east or west and Vandy will go back to being regular ole Vandy. Hiring James Franklin to me is like hiring Lane Kiffin back..... I'll pass.
