Wow.. some of your responses surprise me. Especially the negative ones towards awareness of breast cancer.
Sorry. I would proudly wear a pink UT shirt.. I've lost too many friends and family to this terrible disease.
Let me help clear it up for those that do not understand why the breast cancer advertising is in the NFL and college football.....
Who watches football????
Predominantly 18-34 ur old MEN
What do many men like????
Boobs
What disease is taking our mothers, daughters, loved ones?
Breast Cancer.
It is the perfect ad campaign to the perfect audience. Raising awareness in men is not a bad thing. Ever.
Trust me, sit and watch someone fight for years, just to finally lose everything and die, you might change your smart ass tones about the color pink and its meaning in our sports.
I wish UT would help spread the awareness but I am not holding my breath.
This should not even be an arguement. Crazy that some people are on here trying to justify why we do not wear it! Regardless of your opinion, what is it going to hurt to show support? You say, "pink is for wussies, etc!" That is just the most ignorant, backwards ass arguemnet I have ever heard. I have been personally effected by breast cancer and can tell you it sucks. It does not matter whether you think the money is going to one place for R&D or another department. What matters is we show our support for awareness and that UT is sensitive to the matter. For those asking "what about prostate cancer?" . No one is making less of the issue. However, many organizations raise cause and have deemed this month Breast Cancer Awareness Month. At a minimum, we can show support and to do nothing is a shame. Amzing how many d-c-s are on this site. BIG FREAKING DEAL IF THEY WEAR SOME SORT OF PINK! BTW, women do watch the games, attend the university, etc. Let's be behind those not to mention, you mom, sister, daughter or spouse.
No disrespect but if your wife ever gets diagnosed with it she will change her view. You will as well.

Its not the only one. Personally they should show their suppprt every month for every cancer. My grandfather has lung cancer so its all around me i know the fight first hand.
