Why no Outkick NIL?

Clay get's it, he's a long term business guy. NIL to him does not seem like an area he wants to go down right now. I could see him having someone in a few years be on Outkick but don't think he is about handing money over the kids just yet.

Could Outkick and Barstool form one online sports company to compete with ESPN and CBS? Fox is big fans of both Dave and Clay, the would be wise to go all in on this market and put ESPN out.
Fox Sports and ESPN are owned by Disney, I'm reasonably sure.

Murdoch owns Fox News but not much sports or movie related anymore.

Travis will make a decision, sports or politics, or maybe jump back and forth like that p***k Olberman <sp?> did.

Fox Sports was sold to Sinclair/Diamond Sports Group back in 2019

I've been wanting Fox to overtake ESPN for years... Their production is college football games is much, much better in my opinion. I love listening to Gus Johnson in particular.

LWSVOL had a good point in the Volnation NIL thread... why would boosters want to throw a bunch of money at a recruit who has a 50% of transferring at some point? Look at how much money Ohio State people lost on their investment into Quinn Ewers. A better strategy may be to invest in the good players you have on campus to keep them out of the portal and use examples of big NIL deals to attract kids, rather than guaranteeing them a specific NIL deal during recruitment.

I’m still 100% for a VN NIL. I’ll happily deposit the first 1,000 if freak will do it

Again, why I believe there needs to be a plan in place to protect everyone from player, team and business by making it a 3 year wait from graduation. Something will happen that will be criminal more so than offering HS kids money to go to school for this to be addressed. Too many things happening now that need to be addressed, Covid year, plus transfer portal back log, NIL all at once deals have caused a perfect storm chaos.
