OP, don’t dare hate onJJJ, it will get you much criticism. For some reason the fan base loves him. I don’t dislike him but he seems to play big minutes without producing the stats to show for it. However right now he isn’t the only one unfortunately.
I agree, they love him, he has been average at best. He shouldn't play more than 20 minutes a game

Any team that can defend the perimeter well and aggressively is going to give us problems.

The problem with JJJ is that he has a history of playing small in big games.

Why does JJJ's performances, or lack thereof, surprise people? Hes been here for 5 years. Hes NEVER been an elite scorer. EVER. Nor will he ever be. Barnes would rather play good defense than offense and JJJ plays good D. Its Barnes MO. Those stripes aint changin.
🤭I pretty sure Barnes would rather play both good offense AND good defense.

Exactly what I said. He is who he is. Decent role player but not a player that should get 35 minutes a game. Time to develop some young guys.

Agreed. Seems like a nice kid. Maybe too nice. Wish he'd play with more of a chip on his shoulder. Really believe he could help this team if he'd work more in the low post and provide some interior scoring. But, he's always played like he thinks he's a better 3 point shooter than he actually is. This team has enough perimeter scoring threats. Need him to use his size and length to do some dirty work in the post.

I'll be honest, he may be the player with the most edge to him on this team. Pay attention to him in games. His edge is more in line with Grant Williams than say a Draymond Green. Sort of passive-aggressive. He is constantly trying to get in his opponents head like Grant by just being irritating.

Dude is a 7th year senior and that seems like it was light years ago. We are talking about the here and now.....
LMAO...we won the SEC tourney in 2021...you know...the season before last season. It's almost like you don't follow this team and don't know anything about it...lol.

And, the post I replied to was not talking about the "here and now".

Good grief...it's almost like certain posters don't even watch our games
