Why JJJ? Barnes Worst Coaching Effort......

That will be the last loss this team takes for a long time.

We don’t have a true point or true big like either of the teams that beat us. We rely too much on the 3. We have one guy that can truly create his own shot. Too many one dimensional players.

Mashack needs more minutes…Estrella needs more minutes….Awakwa needs more minutes.

Inconsistent at times, but I imagine Barnes cares most about defense. I mean that's often what he talks about with his players and what our identity is. He had 4 steals and 5 rebounds as well. He wasn't the only one today having a hard time on offense though.

I know. I’m just trying to see how the glass half full crowd feels.

Sorry but a lot of our fans have a very low IQ when it comes to sports.

Makes politicians look like geniuses.

How’s that? We have good players, at spots, that can win you some games…but it doesn’t take an Einstein to see our deficiencies. Not a true point that can break down and distribute/score. Not a true big thats a scoring threat enough to garner double teams. We are a perimeter team that depends on the 3 to fall too much….63 of our 128 shots the last 2 games were 3’s….compared to a combined 27 of 121 from Kansas/Purdue.

JJJ is incredibly inconsistent and will occasionally give you a 20-point game. But the games he doesn't he's throwing up like two to four points. He is absolutely a liability and better players are sitting on the bench
Bless your heart...if this is typical of your reasoning abilities then pls stay away from sharp objects

He's never been consistent. A great or solid game is usually followed by 3 or 4 no shows.

He always seems to dissappear against bigger name opponents. NCAA tourney Games especially.

Except for that time he was statistically our best player on both sides of the ball and we won the SEC tourney

How about that time in the sweet 16 when he went 3 for 11 against FAU ?

If only there were some other ways to contribute to a basketball game besides scoring.

JJJ has never been a consistent 3 pt shooter. I'm optimistic he's going to have his best year though. He's finally at least trying to drive to the bucket and be more physical offensively, even though he hasn't gotten calls.

Several times after TOs, Kansas ran a play that got an easy bucket for them. I don’t recall many easy ones for the Vols

Why and how in the hell is JJJ getting over 30 minutes playing time and DOES NOT produce.

4 points today and 1 assist. Absolutely atrocious stats.

What dirt does JJJ have on someone. This is just coaching malpractice

JJJ guards every position on the floor and is a very good rebounder.

I'm not the one making factually false, hyperbolic statements. If you want to make the obvious point that JJJ is inconsistent on offense then have at it. And, technically speaking, JJJ was our best statistical player on offense and defense for the last 15 games of the SEC tourney c'ship at season.

What has JJJ’s over/under been? ZZ has been a huge liability based on that stat.
ZZ is the biggest liability so far but I think Coach Barnes is trying to let him play his way out of it. Going against number 1 and 2 is not the best way to shake the rust.

First, let me say I love JJJ, but you are correct, he's not producing offensively and this team needs some firepower. We have to many players who go cold at the same time, thus producing these scoring droughts. To be elite, that's the one thing the Vols have to figure out and eliminate, it costs them 2 games this week.

Why does JJJ's performances, or lack thereof, surprise people? Hes been here for 5 years. Hes NEVER been an elite scorer. EVER. Nor will he ever be. Barnes would rather play good defense than offense and JJJ plays good D. Its Barnes MO. Those stripes aint changin.

I agree, JJJ should play about 20 minutes a game.
