You guys should just go ahead and accept Mohammad as God's one true Prophet. You dudes are putting way too much work in reading all these books and articles to find reasons not to. Turn your life over to Allah, ask Allah to give you knowledge of the Quran before you read it and all will be well.
You are welcome, see you in eternity.
Do you have data to support that assertion or is that just what you think will happen?
If MJ is legalized and the power to maintain drug free workplaces is stripped from the employer he would be 100% correct.
Myself, I think we should legalize all drugs, handle distribution and tax like alcohol but allow employers to decide their own drug use policy.
Tourism has been on a steady increase since several years before legalization. So yes, probably more alcohol consumed by tourist, but there is no indication that sales to residents have fallen off at all.
However, its far too soon to say how marijuana legalization has affected adults behavior when it comes to consuming intoxicating substances.
A University of Colorado-Denver economist who has studied how marijuana availability impacts alcohol consumption said the Colorado numbers dont show much.
Why would the power to maintain drug free work places be stripped? How would it be any different from alcohol or cigarettes?
Everything that we've ever been told regarding Marijuana has been twisted - All i'm arguing for is evidence, not assumptions.
I agree with every thing you believe regarding this, tax it.
I too own a business, understand costs and complexities of mitigating risk. I also understand that what your asserting is nothing more than a scare tactic used to illicit uncertainty with little to no evidence to support it.
Just like 'crime' was going to sky rocket after CO decriminalized THC - perhaps we should all wait to see before rushing to judgement. You may be right, but you might also be wrong.
Forget smoking and drinking, McDonalds & Burger King are right up there with what you should consider liability's to your health care costs. Should public policy be legislated to forbid the Whopper, Colt 45 and Kool's? Pointing at MJ and worrying about the cost of health care is as silly rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic.
I didn't expect to have proof in numbers yet. That being said, I know this isn't scientific, but I drink 3x as much alcohol when I don't have green.

2015 Final Legalization of Marijuana in Colorado the Impact
I haven't read it (182 pages) to know what it says but here is a, at least somewhat, official report on it. if anyone can mine this thing for real info I would be interested to hear it.
Wow, I thumbed through that and was amazed at how slanted the "study" seemed.
I motored down to the citations and was surprised that the "data" collected was from other reporters studies and op-eds. Almost all of which were negative. Maybe the info is accurate but it wouldn't surprise me at all to find out that the "impact" article was sponsored and paid for by anti marijuana crowd like drug and alcohol manufacturers.
Wow, I "thumbed" through it as well and the only thing that seems slanted is your post above. All of the sources are readily listed at the end of each section for anyone who cares to reference them. Just because the report didn't reflect what you had hoped you seem to want to do your best to disregard it.

This New Study is Bad News if Youre a Marijuana Supporter:
Researchers at Northwestern University released a study in the journal
Hippocampus
related to some findings regarding heavy use of marijuana on teenagers long-term memory. The study examined daily marijuana users who began at the age of 16 compared to the same age young adults who never used marijuana. Researchers used an MRI scan of the area of the brain responsible for long-term memory retention. Researchers also conducted MRI scans for subjects in their early 20s who were two years removed from heavy marijuana use. The study showed an oddly shaped hippocampus in heavy marijuana users that accompanied long-term memory test scores 18 percent lower than those who had not used marijuana. One of the senior authors stated, The memory processes that appear to be affected by cannabis are ones that we use every day to solve common problems and to sustain our relationships with friends and family. This apparently was the first study that confirmed the relationship between heavy marijuana use and a misshapen hippocampus that lead to poor long-term memory function.

There is a show on Netflix called High Profits. It's a documentary series about a marijuana dispensary in Breckenridge CO and all the opposition they face from all the businesses on main street, particularly the bars.
