Why is Butch being so quiet?

The answer to the OP is very, very simple. He's doing what ALL coaches do this time of year. And what he's done EVERY YEAR he's been a coach at any school.

Good grief.

I guess it depends on who's "hot seat " we're talking about.

Fans? I would agree, but what would you/we consider a "monster " class?

I could be wrong, but as far as the AD is concerned, I think if Hart wasn't leaving, It might be an issue. But with a new AD coming in, I hope this year's recruiting class won't matter to him. "You made your bed, lay in it. Win with what you got, or gtfo"

You don't have to agree, but do you know what I'm saying?

I know what you are saying. I think it boils down to Ws and Ls next year. He wins enough, he stays. He loses too many, he's gone.

Yes injuries were bad, but it wasnt like we were starting 6 or 7 freshman (on D) . We were playing with guys who have been in the system for mostly 2-3-4 years. Losing to vandy and usc should have never happened.

So let's stop throwing Butch and the football program into the fire, stop all the negavol crap so if recruits look at this site they see positives as to why they should come here. Recruits commit to coaches initially not schools.

And I welcome any "bashing" that comes my way.

I have very little confidence that Butch wins more than 8-9 games a year. I've felt that since day 1. But even after this year's "debacle ", I hope he proves me wrong and wins big next year and we don't have to look for another coach.

With that said, he has very little room for error, as far as I'm concerned.

I think this site is making enough noise without him saying anything. .....Lots of coaches on Vol Nation...........perhaps one of these needs to be hired.
