Some of those replies shows the stupidity of the Tennessee fan base. I bet those same folks bash the players and recruits as well.

Some of you on here probably think replying like this to the sentiment that was expressed is just fine. It isn't. It's childish and immature and shows the ignorance of some in this fan base. It makes me be ashamed to be a Tennessee fan and that is because of OTHER FANS not anything that has happened on the field.

Some of you need to get a life. You are worse than the Georgia person that said what he did to Josh Dobbs.

Didn't play too well with some of the media either


Look, nothing about the horrible fires except helping heal the wounds to people and Mother Nature, truly matters. My conviction there is heartfelt.

But after UT folks, again, for 100-percent all the right reasons, went last week to visit those affected by the Chattanooga school bus crash, they couldn’t have been more tone deaf in this matter.

It was pretty appalling — and pointed out to me initially midday Tuesday by a person on campus — how delayed any informal UT response was to the fires.

Just a few notable people/organizations who commented before the Vols’ football coach and athletics department included but not limited to: Bruce Pearl, the Atlanta Braves, NFL rookie star Jalen Ramsey, former UK star and Clarksville native Alex Poythress, the Nashville Predators, the Tennessee Titans and Hollywood A-lister and Tennessee native Reese Witherspoon.

Jones tweeted later Tuesday night — after several folks called out UT for its apparent lack of compassion.

I am sure, however, that UT will deliver great aide in this matter when all is said and done.

Go take a look at Jeff Walz - (Louisville women's basketball coach) and his most recent press conference. It's fantastic. That's the attitude I want in a coach.

Real big push and Saban and Meyer in on a homegrown talent. A lot riding on this and Ole Miss in on it too. Same for Nixon out of AZ, (juco), sudden big push for this CB and UT in there slugging it out. CBJ is talking alright just not in public. GET IT ?:yes:

Anybody who would slam Tennessee football over a preceived delayed response to the fires and accuse CBJ and his team for being tone deaf are at the top of the knuckle dragging timeline. Either you've missed how much this coach and team have reached out in the past tragedies or you're completely filled with unfounded hate and bitterness because your team didn't win as much as you wanted....either way it's massive immaturity. Very few here actually feel that way I realize but it still amazes me at the level of intelligence some in our fanbase possess.

Good grief this thread is full retard. Butch is out recruiting (and possibly interviewing potential coaches), trying to get some talent on the hill, which is exactly what he should be doing. How in the he!! is talking to the fans (which he doesn't owe anyone) going to make this team better? Get over yourselves and start finding something more in life than just hanging on a coaches every action.
