Yes, my agenda is very clear. I want UT to be a powerhouse again. I want what's best for UT. And my loyalty is to UT not the current head coach.

He has got to fire Dooley. Not only for the good of the programs financial situation with loss of ticket sales and donations we will face. But can you imagine how ugly it's going to be in the off season and then after we go get our teeth kicked in (yet again by a good team) by Oregon? The fan outcry we see now will pale in comparrison.
Hart really has no choice and he has already made it, just hasn't announced it.

To be honest If we don't get Gruden , strong , Patterson or Peterson at Boise state id rather just keep Dooley. because I don't want smart or any other assistant coach and those are the only guys we look to maybe have a chance at getting? Unless stoops wants to come or maybe tressel?
And like I said, you may be completely right. I've just personally never seen you post on a subject that didn't turn to you wanting Dooley gone. Your posts are always articulate and I'm sure you're a bright person. I'm just saying that I think people would pay more attention to what you say if you didn't beat the same dead horse. It's just my :twocents:
What has Strong really done? Barely beat a Cinncy team that we beat like a drum and they had much better talent when we beat them. Also who wants Tressel, cheated at both schools where he was HC and still could not beat a SEC team.
Strong and Tressel would both be upgrades over what we have now. So would Cut. So would Dave Doeren the coach at Northern Illinois. I definitely agree with Beef on that note. People are crazy if they think that an upgrade can't be found.

You were OK until you went into your crystal ball routine again. Any time two teams take the field there is always the remote possibility that the outcome will not be as expected.
Hart does have a choice. In my opinion and yours his less risky option is letting Dooley go and spending the money to bring in a top tier coach. On the other side, he can go all in on the belief that Dooley is just about to turn the corner. In the first case, his choice has to win but it is his choice and likely a coach with a better resume. If the second then he had better be right because if he makes the call to keep Dooley then he goes with him if it doesn't work.
You have given me a bad time thinking I was blind to Dooley. I never have been. I just believed that you go through the whole process before deciding it had failed. From the beginning, I thought the odds were against Dooley but that there had to be a standard nonetheless that required him to do something significant this year.
Does everyone think a coaching change will lead to a win against Oregon next year? What about at Bama & at Florida?
No to Oregon and Bama, and not necessarily at UF.
That's the biggest part of this puzzle I'm struggling with. I know that great coaches come with a hefty price tag, but what they don't come with is a guarantee of wins. (And don't feed me that :bs: about "anything is better than what we've got now. That's a cop-out weak-arse answer.)
There is a difference in a possible marginal improvement and a world class big conference HC. If we can't get a "Big Fish" then why bother. None of the ones mentioned that would come here are big Fish. Yea Duke had a great game last Saturday. Cut, is a great guy and great QB coach, but he had Eli at ole' Miss and still could not keep his job. Anyone from N. Ill. is they same as La. Tech not big neame or resume.

Dooley's hair/pants/colloquialisms >>>>>>>> results as HFC
I say we also fire Holly Warlick. Bring in Paula Deen! Who cares if she can coach or not... she can talk about recipes and make it all totally worth it.
With Dooley and Deen we'd have the best sayings, analogies and peach cobbler between the Appalachians and the Mississippi.
lol: Truth.
I love how he consistently alienates people with his nicknames, i.e. "Dooley Defenders," "Boot Polisher," and one in the fairly distant past that got overused, "Chin Slurpers"
He's entertaining to say the least. It's fun just to keep him on ignore; that way, his posts stick out like a sore thumb and when he gets worked up like a junior high girl, it's funny.
