It's bama. That's all.
On November 18, 1901, the University of Alabama and the University of Tennessee first locked horns on a football field. At the contest's end, the score was tied, nothing had been resolved, and about two thousand fans were on the field at Tuscaloosa, fighting.
Frpm someone who lives in Alabama, I can tell you its because of their fans. They were WAY more tolerable before Saban when they sucked. Now that they have some relevance again, they are COMPLETELY miserable to be around. In my opinion they are far worse than any other fans in the SEC. I think a large problem with their fan base is due to the fact that there are a TON of rednecks in Alabama that don't go to college, and if you don't go to college you sort of default to Alabama rather than Auburn. Hence, you have a large group of relatively low class, uneducated fans who have nothing else but college football.
When the crowd cheered when Tony Robinson got his leg broke by Cornelius Bennett. I lost total respect for anything Bama.
I was 10 years old or so when the 5 overtime game happened and my grandad is a season ticket holder for alabama on the 50 yard line in the heart of the alabama section and I was the only wearing an orange shirt it seemed like for miles and when we converted the long fourth down i started screaming rocky top as loud as I could and an old lady and I mean reallllly old lady came hobbling up to me from about 5 rows over and told me to shut up..... I was like 10
