I just found out that my 8 month old has to have a ticket. I know the economy is tough and all, but isn't that a little much![]()
I am amazed anyone starts threads on here. If it is such a stupid question, then don't answer.
While I cannot make it to UTM, I actually often-times go to a patsy game over a big-time game. Although nothing beats the feeling/atmosphere of pulling out a win in a big time game, there are several reasons for picking a lesser opponent game: (1) for us out-of-staters, you can watch the big-time opponent on TV; (2) for those of us who do not have season tickets, it is cheaper to buy scalped tix to the lesser games; (3) less of a chance for a long depressed drive home; (4) I enjoy the game no matter who we are playing; and (5) I still enjoy tailgating and hanging out with other vol fans.
I'm taking my 4 year old son to his first game in Neyland and:
1. I want (selfishly) his first game in Neyland to be a W
2. I have this coming weekend free from work
3. He is 4, and if he gets so restless I have to leave, I want to leave when UT has a 3 possession lead...
4. It's always great to be a Tennessee Vol. Opponent, current state of the program, etc really don't mean as much to me as a good Saturday in Neyland...
