going back on the whole season we still don't have a huge sample size of what the passing game should look like. the one game that stands out is the Ark game, and it stunk.
i think it's too easy to just say "dobbs needs to get better". which i do think he does btw. i don't think he developed leaps and bounds 14 to 15.
that said, while i agree the O line got better.....i don't think they're close to elite in pass protection or run blocking. they went from plain old bad in 14 to average in 15.
the WR issues have been well documented.
in 16, we need all of these things to come together to see what, if anything, we have in Dobbs as a pocket passer. i think it's still TBD. just like last year.
Don't disagree though I'm more impressed by the OL than you apparently are. I just think Dobbs is the limiting factor. UT can be "good enough" on the OL. They have the talent and now plenty of experience. They can be good enough at WR.
I honestly do not know what Dobbs' ceiling is as a passer. I believe that is the main factor in how much progress is made... unless, Lord forbid, he is injured.
