who's predicting a double digit win over UF

I watched him sling the ball last year for 57 yards...

Did you also notice that he put 28 points on that "great" Florida defense without even having to throw the ball? Thanks to our tunnel-visioned OC and HC, we didn't even have passing as part of the gameplan vs your limited defensive backfield that day.

Exactly. And when he's done with school, whenever he decides that time is, he will declare for the draft and I can promise you he'll get picked up by someone.

So, let's wait and look back in a few years when they're all done with school and then count how many draft picks there were. If the number of players drafted is still in Florida's favor then I'll agree with chattaboogie.

You don't sound very smart. Are you saying that UF had no sophs that will be drafted?

And what you're failing to see in the overall argument is that those NFL-worthy players that almost beat you last year are a year older, more experienced, and surrounded with higher quality players. While you guys lost a lot more NFL talent last year and need to replace it.

Go back to the voodoo argument. It sucks, but it's better than you're doing.

The problem with the 247 composite is its based on recruiting rankings, which were based on what those kids did in high school.

The All SEC-Team places players on the list based on production in college against SEC talent.

Except that that's a count of a few stars on each team and not a quantitative ranking of overall team talent.

So McElwain finally gets his type of qb, the same type he had at Bama and even Colorado St, instead of a guy who is about as bad a fit as you can have in his system (Treon Harris), and that's somehow a good thing for UT?

Sorry, I just don't see it that way.

Except you're forgetting the parts about how UF OL will match against our DL and LBs. And also the part about our new DC that is a QB pressure specialist.

It could get ugly, and I have a feeling you'll be wishing you had Greer back fairly soon in the game.

The tweets and quotes sound like "Coach Incisors and Chatty Kathys" are the ones feeling pressure. UT's answers sound quietly confident and determined.

No offense but Al is right. There is no pressure on Florida, they don't expect anything special from this year's team, they are hoping to exceed expectations and maybe make a December bowl. Donkey will keep lowering expectations so he can keep exceeding them.

Not sure how you arrive at that conclusion, but this is what makes it fun being a fan. Don't take my word for it, take this; Florida has two DL on preseason All-SEC teams (Cox and Jefferson), UT has one (Barnett). And the surprising thing is, UF folks will tell you Caleb Brantley is the most dominating D-lineman on the team, in the mold of Dominique Easley. Recruiting stars are irrelevant, but we'll go there too since you said something about UF's "3-stars". UF's projected starters, stars according to Rivals:
Jefferson - 5 star
Brantley - 4 star
Ivie - 4 star
Cox Jr - 3 star
Ironically, Cox was the lowest rated but has probably been the most dominant v UT. I know he has 3 or 4 sacks v UT in the games he's played, several hurries, a big fumble recovery last year (nearly returned for a td). UF's depth players were also highly rated: Sherit - 4 star, Clark - 4 star, Clayton - 5 star.

This stuff is easily verifiable, just go look. Feeling great about your team is awesome, but here's what so many fans dont get: many teams have good/great players. Many teams have awesome weight rooms and players who work out like madmen. So for every dude on your team has that looks like a beast, there are about 9 other teams in the league with dudes who look exactly like that.

UT has great players, and definitely has a shot this year. So does Florida.

You just told us that not even you trust the SEC all-team selections. Carry on.

27 points - had he put up 28 points, you may not have lost # 11

:)

You guys are in trouble if you are relying on true freshmen in your two deep. That's what we have been doing the last several years and now the roles are reversed.

Most of our two deep comes from two top 5 classes. We also held on to three stars that could have left early for the NFL last year.

We return the most production in all of the Power 5 Conferences. Our entire two deep is talented AND experienced. This will be the first time in a long time we actually have more raw talent than Florida, and it just happened to occur when we also have loads more experience.

We have a veteran senior QB to lead our team. Florida hasn't even officially named a starter as far as I know, and Del Rio is a question mark at best. How much chemistry will he have with the team, especially his receivers.

We have three years of consistency. You guys have one, and I wouldn't say it ended on that great of a note.

Florida lost seven players to the draft, including two top twenty picks from the secondary. That is a lot of production to replace. All of our talent either returned to lead the team, or was too young to leave anyway.

The game will be played in Neyland.

I'm sure I missed some stuff like we will be fielding the top Kickoff Returner last season in Evan Berry as well as the top Punt Returner in Cam Sutton, even Kamara housed one last year and he is back too. Or that Darrin Kirkland is now experienced at middle linebacker, something that was missing last year(and we still should have one.)

Basically, we are flat out better than you at every position except for Kicker. We are more talented, more experienced, more used to our system, and the game is at home. If you guys win this game then there really is some supernatural sh#& going on.
Not arguing you should be favored, but better at every position? Really? Phil Steele's pre-season All American team had three gators on the first team defense: Tabor, Maye, and Davis. So you honestly think UT is better at those positions ?

I'll take Reeves-Maybin and Kirkland Jr. over Davis. I think Cameron Sutton is better than Tabor. Tabor is just a loud mouth.

Maye gives you the edge at DB as far as name recognition for sure, but with Justin Martin at the other corner spot and TK Jr leading the safeties I really do think it could go either way which group will be better by the end of the year. Both teams likely start future NFL players at every secondary position, except maybe us at nickelback and you at one safety spot.

I think we are in a much better spot depth wise. A couple of injuries could wreck the Gator secondary.

You're not even refuting the same argument, crush. Back to your man cave, and have a few more brewskis.

Wow, before reading this thread I thought this was going to be a close game. But now I realize UF is starting Vandy rejects. Doesn't seem fair since apparently team 120 whooped the Patriots this summer.
