who's predicting a double digit win over UF

Really? That's funny because I expect Tennessee to win every game they play. Why? Because it's ****ing Tennessee and we don't bow down to anyone. I can understand a Florida fan not expecting to win a game but not Tennesee boyo.

You are exactly the quintessential fan he was just talking about Nationdom.

UFs offense will largely be based on how good their QB will be imo. Let's be honest. It's a complete unknown. However, even if he turns out to be a great QB, I'm confident in our secondary and QB pressures. Honestly, their QB should be picking grass outta his helmet most of the night. Their run game may be good as well, but it won't be on the same level as ours where you know its coming but still won't be able to stop it most times. I think our run game will be Auburn 2013 good if not better, and if Dobbs shows any ability to accurate hit passed constantly, we should win handiy.

But it's UF. We should won the past two years. But theres bad mojo there or something. So I honestly don't know.

Del Rio's career stats=3 games, 8 of 18 for 44% completion , average yards per attempt 7.83 , 0 TD , 0 int. QB rating 110

At least he is sticking true to his colors. He openly admits he STOPPED WATCHING for about seven of our down years.

#bandwagon

Edit: Didn't read KBVol's post (above me) before posting this, but it's nice to see that someone else had the same reaction.. naturally, it'd be you :p

Exactly. I live by what I say.

When I saw how pathetic the program became, I didn't waste my time torturing myself knowing we would lose.

This thread is funny! I will give my 2 cents, from a Gator persprective.

Last year, we came into the game with one O-lineman with starting experience in the SEC. We had one WR and one RB with SEC experience. With that said, our RB ran for over 100 yards. This year, we have 6 O-Linemen with starting experience, 3 WRs, 2 TEs with experience.

On defense, the biggest stat in the game for the Gators last year, was the number of missed tackles. On the last drive of the game, McCallister had an easy sack of Dobbs and failed to wrap up, leading Dobbs to run for 10-15 yards. Had he made the tackle, the ball would have been at the 50 yard line with possibly two plays remaining.

Our offense will be the best offense that Florida has fielded since Tebow has left. Our defense will be better than last years defense.

If you want to make money, bet on the Gator with the 12.5 point underdog role.

Florida 27
Tennessee 9

I respect this. You should believe your team will win.

However these 2 statements are delusional. You have had 2 subpar recruiting classes allowing Tennessee to finally pass you in the 4 year composite for the first time in forever. Your starting QB is a guy who couldn't make it in Oregon State. You lost 7 players to the draft including 3 of your 5 best defensive players. Oh and you're on the road against a team that returns everyone from a team you needed several miracles to defeat.

Every objective measure says you'll lose this year. Probably badly.

But at least I respect your fanhood. Nothing disgusts me more than a fan who thinks their team will lose. I'm looking at you KBVol.

Not that it hasn't already been said, but I also feel the need to just call you out on this load of bull****. I at least now see why you are a self-admitted bandwagon fan, because you would rather literally stop watching during seasons where we were horrible than stick through the rough years to enjoy the good ones.

This is just a stupid take. Being a sunshine pumper and expecting your team to win every game is just inconceivable. There are teams that are just better than you sometimes. You hope for the best but you prepare yourself for what is most likely to happen.

I'm no sunshine pumper. I'm predicting we go 12-0 because we're better than everyone we play.

Please don't go to the game.

We don't need people with negative energy like you polluting the atmosphere when we destroy Florida this year.

No, what "WE", real fans and backers of the team and university don't need are front running, admitted disloyal, bandwagon guys like you anywhere near the program. Go pollute some other college team and fan forum. You're neither needed nor wanted here.

I don't think it'll be close.

I'm thinking something like 45-24, and that's with both teams tacking on a late score. That type of game.

People like that disgust me.

If you don't believe your team will win every game it plays STOP WATCHING or going to the games.

This is truly dumb. No person BELIEVES their team will win every game. Reasonable people can see that some games aren't winnable. That has nothing to do with WANTING your team to win.

But it's awesome to see real fans like you ride in on your high horse and tell us how to fan.

I expect us to win them all. 7 I expect to be highly contested.

Zero aren't winnable.

See you in Tampa.

Go Vols!

Anybody saying blowout is wrong

Del rio will take the same strides Grier did maybe even faster

There's a reason Mac didn't fight to keep Grier and go with his garuntee that he starts when he's eligible

M**** his career stats he's been in Mac system 2 years that means a lot more then game exp imo

Mac and Nuss together are as good as it gets with qb development

Nobody said anything about "bowing down" to anybody. I always expect our guys to play hard and compete and win the games they're favored in and occasionally win the games they're not. But I had no expectation, for example, that our guys would go out to Oregon a couple years ago and win.....and after Oregon went on a 59-0 run, I'd say my expectation was pretty fair, wouldn't you?

To expect to lose is to "bow down". All games are winnable. Nobody overlooks the Vols, but sometimes a perfect storm can happen and expectations are met.

We are past the days of our down years. Now is the time to restore past expectations not to just play hard and compete but expect to win.

Go Vols!

You're the Cam Newton of volnation posters. You're a ****ing front runner. Being a Tennessee fan is a privilege and I'll always support our squad especially when they are down.

Until I see it otherwise, I can't even pick us to win. We could put the 85 Bears in Vols gear and they would lose to UF. Makes want to ****** puke.

Geez - everybody knows TN has been subpar during the streak that is about to end. But between 1990 to 2004 - head to head TN won 6 and Fl won 9 (which is competitive). Also between these years TN won the SEC or SEC east 5 times and FL won it 8. 13 out of 15 times TN or Fl won the SEC or the SEC East. It has been tough watching TN not being in the hunt and not having the athletes to really compete. I am glad Butch has got the athletes to compete and be in the conversation for the SEC/NC again.

I just get tired of the "believe it when I see it crowd". TN has been really really bad and really didn't have a realistic shot to win for most of the years in the streak. TN is back but even when you are back doesn't mean you will win every year against teams on the same level. However, TN is better than FL this year and should win. GO VOLS!

If it was possible for the 2013 Tennessee Vols to play the '86 Bears or the '08 Patriots, would you still say it was "bowing down" to suggest that we shouldn't be expected to win?

That 2013 team, one of the very worst Vols teams I've ever seen, had no chance of beating Oregon that year. We were nearly 30 point underdogs, and had the Ducks not pulled Mariota and the other starters after the 3rd quarter, we would surely lost by 65 or more points. Was any fan who thought we had little to no chance to win that game that day "bowing down"?

All I'm saying is to expect to lose is not a winning culture. CBJ has brought back a winning culture to the Vols.

But yes I did expect to win. You and I both know athletes are capable of getting in the "zone and playing out of their minds and above their talent. That in conjunction with momentum and breaks, can create a win even tho the odds are against you.

To be honest, it's just been on rare recent occasions that I felt the Vols were fielding a team that need a lot of help to win the game but expected the help to secure the victory.

Sometimes we played up or they played down and we won and others games it didn't work out, but still the expectation was there for a win rather than an expecting to lose.

To go into any game expecting to lose is "bowing down" no matter the opponent or competition.

Someone else in another post said something like.... I expect to win 9, 3 are a toss up. And left it at that. I will say I expect to win them all but 7 are a toss up.

Go Vols!

You should stop being a fan then.

I snuck a peak at that game back in 2012 eventhough I wasn't following the team as intently as I do now and I still expected them to win.

After we went up 7-0 I became even more confident. Too bad we couldn't pull it off.

I've never picked a team I'm rooting for to lose a game. And I never will.

Grier was a top recruit that everyone in the country wanted. Del Rio is a guy who couldn't start at Oregon State.

I dont think the talent here is even remotely close.

Don't buy the Florida kool-aid.
