Went last time in Lexington ('09), and was miserable during the first half as those cats fans thought the streak was ending for sure. Man they were annoying.
As Tennessee slowly, inevitably drew closer and pulled away, the broken-hearted rumblings of the cats fans were priceless.
They were half-decent that year, though and gave us a good scare with a fired up crowd. I know a lot of local UK diehards who are not even going to the game this year, FWIW.
Pulled away in the 2nd half????? You do realize that was an overtime game. I remember clearly. As hardesty was running for victory in OT, I was screaming 25(I was the only orange shirt in the section) at the top of my lungs! It was a great day for sure!

anyone with experience buying tickets up there on the street
You are right, but I distinctly felt a change in the crowd and the game from the first glad to the second. First half I heard a lot of sentiment that, "It's really gonna happen, we're gonna beat the Vols!". In the second half there was a decidedly cautious, nervous tone in the stands. As we heqded toward OT, my cheering got louder and the nearby cats fans got quieter and more surly.
I'll be there! Let's not forget, "That's good for another Kentucky.....FIRST DOWN"
:banghead2:
This has got to be the most annoying thing ever in a college football stadium. They actually announce FIRST downs as if they are TOUCHdowns. I was there in that triple overtime game in 07 and I sware I was going to rip my ears off after hearing that so many times. I doubt we will hear it as much this weekend. And I will be there as well.
