Went last time in Lexington ('09), and was miserable during the first half as those cats fans thought the streak was ending for sure. Man they were annoying.

As Tennessee slowly, inevitably drew closer and pulled away, the broken-hearted rumblings of the cats fans were priceless.

They were half-decent that year, though and gave us a good scare with a fired up crowd. I know a lot of local UK diehards who are not even going to the game this year, FWIW.

Pulled away in the 2nd half????? You do realize that was an overtime game. I remember clearly. As hardesty was running for victory in OT, I was screaming 25(I was the only orange shirt in the section) at the top of my lungs! It was a great day for sure!

I'll be going up with my parents. We'll need to find 3 tickets. Hopefully Kentucky fans will be wanting to get rid of them in lieu of the basketball game

You are right, but I distinctly felt a change in the crowd and the game from the first glad to the second. First half I heard a lot of sentiment that, "It's really gonna happen, we're gonna beat the Vols!". In the second half there was a decidedly cautious, nervous tone in the stands. As we heqded toward OT, my cheering got louder and the nearby cats fans got quieter and more surly.

I got very quite when they were about to score the game winning TD in the last few minutes. Then they remembered who they were and kicked the FG to tie. Cobb was unstoppable in the wildcat and the Joker remembered he wasn't allowed to win and stopped using it when they got in the red zone! After that night I used the phrase not in my lifetime and I stand FIRMLY behind that!!!!!

I'll be in the front row of the end zone! Proudly holding up my "keep the streak alive" sign!

Tickets were really cheap on craigslist out of lexington. Paid $60 for the pair

Weather should be good: cloudy high 61° low 52° 30% chance of rain but mainly in the evening.

Anyone tailgating?

I'll be there! Let's not forget, "That's good for another Kentucky.....FIRST DOWN"

:banghead2:

This has got to be the most annoying thing ever in a college football stadium. They actually announce FIRST downs as if they are TOUCHdowns. I was there in that triple overtime game in 07 and I sware I was going to rip my ears off after hearing that so many times. I doubt we will hear it as much this weekend. And I will be there as well.

Hubby has to work and I don't really have anything else going on, so I'm thinking about making the drive up by myself. I've never been there so I don't know the atmosphere towards opposing fans, especially women. What do you guys think about this? Would you be comfortable with your wives/gfs/daughters going to this game alone?

That and the C-A-T-S Cheer. Over and over and over...but I'll be braving the cold and their cheers for sure.
