LSU has been a double digit favorite in all their games, except UF (-8) and UAT (-6.5). Best guess..VOLS will be 10 pt dogs. LSU has failed to cover the spread 7 times. Let's make it 8...Vols win 35-31

If you don't pick Tennessee and aren't a LSU fan, you should excuse yourself from this board.

It's great to be going back to the SECCG, I think Miles is gonna come out full force, going all out, going for it on 4th down, faking a punt, tricks, a feeling I have, I hope we dont play conservative, not gonna work against LSU.

I think it is hilarious that people think you aren't a real fan if you pick against your team. These people must suck at gambling. And additionally, unless your vote makes your team play better, then why wouldn't you just say what you think?

I think those who mentioned the psychology hit the nail on the head. If Tennessee has the mentality of just being happy to be there... we lose. If LSU is pissed off, motivated, and out for blood to avenge the Ark loss... we lose.

Any other combination of oulooks by the respective teams and we have a great chance.

Personally, I think Tennessee will play inspired football and Fulmer will coach the game to win. I think LSU will say all the right things this week but still come out flat because their national championship aspirations are 99% gone and the Michigan vacancy WILL be a distraction.

VOLS win surprisingly easy.

I can agree with that. UT can certainly win, but if both teams come ready to play, LSU will win.

In a nut shell:

we've beaten both teams that have beaten LSU; ARK and KY.

edge: Vols

Both LSU and UT played exasperating games to end their regular seasons. Both are dinged up and emotionally depleted.

edge: even

LSU has defeated teams that have dominated the Vols; i.e. Bama and FL.

edge: LSU

I'd call this one a toss up. LSU has a slight edge talent-wise, but I think the Vols want it more.

Is Nebraska considering Les Miles too? Or maybe I should say, is there speculation that Nebraska is interested in Miles?

Nebraska wants Bo Pelini, LSU's DC. He's who I want to replace Fulmer if possible. It's why my little quote thing says "Bo Knows Football". However, he sure didn't come up with a good gameplan Friday.

And on that note, as I've stated in other threads, it pains me, but Fulmer has earned himself more time on the Hill with this second half of the season rally.

ding ding ding. we have a winner.

With apologies to hatvol, UT does not play well in the "festering cesspool."

Tennessee beat them in 2005 when LSU was clearly the better team that year. They barely beat us with our backup qb last year. I like our chances.

Hey UT fans, congrats on the win yesterday. I posted on your board earlier this year and picked yall to win the SEC east. And here you are. Make no mistake, LSU is very beatable. We have digressed so damn much since the VA Tech game that it isn't funny. Injuries notwithstanding, our defense is a mere shadow of what we thought it to be early in the season. And Flynn can be inconsistent as hell. I don't think we use our offensive weapons nearly enough or in the right situations either. Anyway, I expect this game to be close as hell, and we could lose very easily. Not to mention the frickin Les Miles saga. If he leaves LSU we won't be losing any sleep over it. If we lose to yall in the SECCG, Miles will have won no championships of any kind here in 3 years with some great talent. Good luck to the Vol Nation.

How much of the Ark loss do you attribute to the Les Miles issue? Or is it a more systematic regression over the year - or the injuries? You guys looked unbeatable early in the season... now honestly you look just somewhat better than average... I'm scared that early season LSU will show up Sat (although the injuries will still be a factor).

If I was LSU, I'd fire Miles before he can run off to Michigan if LSU loses this game. I can't imagine a team with that much talent losing three games in season, and before the bowl game no less.

The Vols have got my hopes up again with the way they've hung in there over the last month and pulled out wins... I just hope they've got one more in'em. I think it'll take LSU coming out flat for the Vols to get it done, because if LSU comes out hitting on all cylinders... it could get ugly, just like it would for any team in the country.

Quiet Tidwell, or goodolerockytop will call you a geriatric slobber for not praising Miles.
