my bet is carson... only played three years... two at DT... and looks pretty darn strong for 17... this recruit fills a need... that one in the fourth quarter where our defense is tired and they start running it down our throats... this is to hoping we make it a little more difficult for them... 73 tackles is a pretty good number for a guy being constantly double teamed

http://www.annistonstar.com/view/full_story/10637097/article-Oxford-senior-Carson-is-Rocky-Top-solid

"He finished the season with 73 tackles, including 18 for loss, six of which were sacks, in his final season on the high school gridiron. Oxford went 7-5 and advance to the second round of the AHSAA Class 6A state football playoffs where they fell to region foe Gadsden City 23-21 on the road.

Oxford assistant Todd Bates helped cultivate Carson’s raw talents, which included unmatched strength, he bench presses 435 pounds, and uncanny strength(< i'm assuming the author meant speed), he’s been clocked at just under five seconds in the 40-yard dash."

Could be another Dan Williams. He wasn't highly touted outta high school either!

I will say that Greg King is gonna be 100% and win the starting job at one of the LB spots and excel.

Jordan Williams. He'll get meaningful pt at DE from day 1 imo. BEAST

DY also. He'll take a couple to the house this fall and become a Vol legend IMO

I don't think he'll be a big surprise, but I hope we can get some solid minutes out of Greg Clark this year.

May not be a surprise, but my choice is Marcus Jackson will start in the OL as a true freshman. I also like Jordan Williams that has already been mentioned at DE.

Melvin Goins, I'm extremely curious to see if he's got it.

I'm gonna say Mychal Rivera.....With Stocker gone he could play a huge part in the offense this year.

Justin Coleman and Vincent Dallas...........I think Dallas can be a Freshman All-American with the attention that will be paid to Hunter and Rogers plus he has Tyler Bray throwing to him. Bray doesn't have a favorite WR so he'll see a lot of one on one coverage and a lot footballs coming his way.

Has Carson slimmed down at all? He might have conditioning issues if he hasn't lost a little weight.

I'll go with Channing Fugate making a surprising impact in the running game as a blocker and occasional ball carrier, as well as catching a few clutch passes.

Really like the idea of Coleman contributing too.

I love how many different people we are thinking could have breakout years. Just shows how much improvement our football team is making!!

I am afraid that Bray is getting a lot of hype and he is going to be a bad surprise...
