I really don't understand how anyone could support Foster at this point. Hardesty has more will and heart. Oh, he also does not dance at the line of scrimmage. Creer should pull a Travis Stephens and redshirt in '09.

Creer has the greatest YPC so shouldn't he start????

No, IMO it's clearly Hardest this year. The kid's running with tons of effort and heart...

creer getting alot of carries and obviously hardesty in the redzone. maybe a little bit of throwing to arian out of the backfield and pray he holds on to it

Is it just me or has foster regressed every year since his freshman year? He was awesome as a freshman but it seems like he has took a step back every year since then.

Foster would not be the starter for more that a couple of sec teams. Hardesty deserves a chance to show what he can do as the starter. Foster's draft stock is falling rapidly, thats assuming it was really as high as some say before the season. He's a senior, and should be a leader on the team, not fumbling, stumbling, and getting crucial stupid penalties at the worst time.

I actually misquoted. (Not made stuff up) I meant, Arian had a better YPC, albeit SLIGHT. (by two-tenths of a yard)But Montario had more yards (more carries of course), more TD's, and a longer run.

What's interesting....You keep stating Hardesty got stuffed for no/negative yardage. Take a look at Arian's longest run. It was 3 yards. He finished the game with only 2 (TWO) yards.

Hardesty wasn't the only one who got "stuffed" for negative/no yardage.

Don't make biased arguments. Include all the facts.

I was referring to NIU. Hardesty was stuffed twice.

Foster had been involved in game changing fumbles in every Tennessee loss this season. He deserves to be to watch someone else start in front of him. That is what his play has earned him. If Hardesty plays well you stay with him. If not you give Foster a chance to redeem himself.

I wish they would throw to Foster and Creer more often too. Foster has looked good on several short passes that turned into long yardage. I am not sure about Creer's hands but his speed could be dangerous in that situation.

Remember when everyone kept hoping Jamal Lewis would have a spectacular year like his Freshmen season? He kept regressing while Travis Henry displayed good moments here and there. Who finally got the nod at starting RB and had the better career at UT? Hmmmm, very familiar.

When did Foster fumble against Florida?

Foster has run for 161 yards and six touchdowns in the past two games against the dawgs.

Your correct. I was thinking of Crompton at the two. My bad. Still two out of three losses probably turn into wins if Foster Holds onto the ball.

Hardesty had a rather costly fumble against Florida. The Auburn fumble is still up for debate as to who was at fault.

UT is not winning the SEC this year, Fulmer needs to build for next season.

Starting Stephens was a good move, playing Creer and Hardesty more would help. Foster might be a little better, but not enough to make a difference in this season. :twocents:

That's totally not an example of a player regressing. He got injured in '98, which kept him out of the majority of the season, and the next season is generally a down year for any athlete that tears a ligament in his knee.

True but wasn't Hardesty's on a pass play? It also wasn't inside anybody's 5 yard line. It probably would not change the outcome of the game either.

On the auburn fumble I put it on both Foster and Crompton.

Foster is just more of a risk in my book.

So you are comparing the Florida 2006 game for Foster, to the 2008 NIU game for Hardesty?

I agree.

The Hardesty fumble did give Florida points. 3 points. Considering the fumble happened within Field Goal Range, I'll take it over laying a ball in the end zone for the other team to jump on.

And the Foster-fan's keep arguing this same point, that "Hardesty had a costly fumble too against Florida". It is NOT the same!
Hardesty was actually HIT. Hard. From his Blind Side. Immediately after the Catch. Although it still sucks he fumbled, I can forgive a fumble like that. Even if it was Foster, i could forgive it.
Foster Fumbles because he does not Hold on to the ball properly. Many of his fumbles are from relatively Minor Hits, and MOST of his fumbles are at crucial locations or points in the game.

Does anyone have the Win-Loss Record for games that Foster has fumbled, compare to games that Hardesty has fumbled?

Rather costly, are you crazy.First of all it wasn't Hardesty's fault.Crompton threw it behind the line and the Florida defenders swarmed Hardesty,he had know chance to get loose.Do you expect someone to hold on to the football after getting picked up and slammed to the ground?I didn't think so.

No more than I expect someone to hold the football after someone tosses it into his elbow.
