I really don't get the Petrino hate. He really doesn't have much at Arkansas. Picked by most media to be a cellar dwelling SEC team and he's pretty much already exceeded expectations by beating Auburn.

I think it is his rep from leaving a team mid-season talking.

He's just not that good.

Fulmer is the worst. Best facilities in the league, good (not great) talent, 2nd worst team in the conference.

I'll give him a 2 years before I write him off. I'm not going to bat saying he should be in the upper 50% or anything, I just think Croom is the bottom of the barrel.

Croom was put in a losing situation.

Petrino will look a lot better next year when Mallett is his quarterback but it doesn't change the fact that Petrino is a sub-par recruiter.

Don't know about college yet, but Petrino was a horrid pro coach, and a chickensh@t coward one to boot.

The creativity of this thread is amazing. Lets see, who has the worst record in the SEC right now, Miss State, ok then the answer must be Croom. Croom would have different results if he was in a different situation. Miss State is a very difficult job. Croom is a good football coach. Pose the question this way: "If every coach in the SEC was placed into identical circumstances, then which coach in the SEC would have the worst results?"

I think the answer would be close between Petrino and Miles. Miles gets too much credit. He came into an amazing situation and it continues to be a 'great job' where he has tons to work with. He is a sub-par coach who reaps the benefits of his situation. Under the above criteria, I think Fulmer is probably next on that list.

My list of best-to-worst (placed in identical situations):

Saban
Richt
Johnson
Spurrier
Tubberville
Nutt
Brooks
Croom
Fulmer
Miles
Petrino

I will never get the hate of Les Miles. Never. The guy calls some ballsy plays and his teams executes because they knew what they were doing and he's a bumbling idiot? Les Miles is a damn fine football coach.
