To all the Negavols on here, just where did you think we would be right now? 5-0? We are exactly where we should be. 3-2. Most likely 3-3 after this weekend. What then? Abandon ship? Some of you just don't live in reality.

Some seem to think on Twitter that Eric Lauderdale may be wavering. He was offered by Florida and said he was committed to UT, but he considered it a soft verbal.
I'm sure most thought our record would be at 3-2 but its just how the offense has looked and very little signs of improvment and effectiveness from them. Though the defense is a real positive and can see lot of improvment from most all players.

Still #VolNation though
These tweets were at 1:00 PM yesterday. Seems pretty straight forward IMO..

My problem with this line of thinking:
Should we be 3-2? Yes
Do we want to be 5-0 ? Yes
How about 4-1? Yes, fl not good, we should have done better.
Although reality says we should be 3-2 at this point, in order for coach Butch to show improvement, we have to beat someone we shouldn't and not lose to someone we shouldn't. So by not beating Florida, we have to beat ga,al, or South Carolina and also not lose to any of the other bottom feeders. We also just about blew it with the USA game as far as losing to someone we shouldn't which would have clearly put us in the Dooley catagory as far as coaching and lack of improvement. My point is by not beating fl, CBJ has a more difficult task at hand with the better sec teams to show improvement. If we only win the ones we are supposed to there is no improvement as we have done that the last four years with the exception off the ky loss and vandy.

Only so much the coaches can do with the talent and depth that we have. New QB, very raw WR's and a revamped defensive scheme. We hoped for an upset, could not and should not expect one...IMO. If we win the games we should win and lose the ones we should win can show improvement. Look at penalty numbers, look at turnover number(defense is leading the SEC in interceptions). Too early to state no improvement. I disagree with just about everything you just said.
You just contradicted yourself in the same sentence. This year, we have so far won the games we were favored to win and we are right where we should be. If we continue to win the ones we are favored in for the entire year, we will have shown improvement over the last 2 years. We don't need an upset this year to show improvement. Next year may be a different story.
No I didn't contradict myself. Dooley beat both those teams his first year. So even if CBJ wins those games, he has still not improved the coaching from his predecessor. We should win one that the pundits say we shouldn't. It happens all the time in college football. Good coaching overcomes lack of talent.
Did Dooley win those games the last 2 years when his talent level was still much higher than this years? No...you are trying to make an argument by picking and choosing the data that you think supports it. If CBJ wins the ones that we are favored in this year, we are improving over the last 2 years.
