Really? UT isn’t even the best team in the state. Think about that.
You really think we just missed on every single 4 and 5 star prospect on the team? Sure there are busts, but all of them? On paper we are the most talented team in the state. Fact.
This is coaching, culture, and leadership. If you believe lack of talent is what lost us the game against Georgia State....
Let me say that again.
Georgia. State.
...then with all due respect, you are clueless.
There was a post, and I can't remember who posted it, that said Pruitt's wife hated it in Knoxville and Pruitt feels like he made a mistake taking the job. I have no idea if that is true or not but it would explain the lack of emotion. If that is the case, he should do the honorable thing and resign and if it isn't true, he needs to find the fire he had last year. There just seems to be no energy on the field or the sidelines. I think the performance against BYU will show whether or not this season still has hope or is a lost cause. His personality is different, he’s not coaching like he was after every play.
His body language suggests that he’s not concerned about winning, he’s just going through the motions now, whereas last season he would lose his mind of players made mistakes.
He has lost his desire, passion, and intensity and that’s what made him a good football coach imho.

That may well be but I don't think going through the motions is going to be enough. Recruits aren't going to want to play for a guy that's just going through the motions. The results may not be any better if he shows some fire but the optics would certainly be better.I think he’s going through the motions until he can get his players on the roster, especially Harrison Bailey who seems to be the smart big armed QB that he wants to execute his offense.
You have a copy of his acceptance letter do you?
Matt O’Hagan, Leach’s agent: “Thanks Matt, the people we worked with the past two days who are associated with the Vols search were professional and thorough. We negotiated earnestly and in good faith and feel we had reached and agreed to a deal. We hope that UT sees the tremendous value in having Mike Leach as their football coach.
Mike Leach would have taken Tennessee job, according to former Vols AD
Do you need a YouTube video of Leach saying it himself?
