Who is Jeremy Pruitt?

I have heard on good account that Jeremy loved him some FSU coeds when he was in Tallahassee...

I’ve been to Tallahassee to a sorority formal or 2 and can say that I’m not surprised by this. Smoke show central down there. Difference was I wasn’t married then.

Is Georgia state good this year? I mean that qb is pretty solid and they clearly have a good coach. I’ll be interested to see how their season plays out. I hope they go undefeated and beat another sec team in a bowl game 😂

This is so stupid.

Pruitt is an excellent football coach. He’s said repeatedly that UT has extremely low talent to compete in the SEC. This is not 1998. It’s twenty years of mediocrity that someone has to clean up.

I think he has a good understanding of reality. UT isn’t very good.

no chance you believe what you are saying....GA State??? I can Believe we don't have Bama Talent..UGA talent....LSU talent....but GA State talent??? Excellent football coaches don't get bent over by GA State O and D lines. Excellent football coaches can recruit players to beat out Guarantano who has never had it since he has been here. Excellent football coaches don't not utilize your best two playmakers midway through the third quarter in Grey and Chandler....Excellent football coaches can stop GA States Running game....

That's weird, you putting words in his mouth and all. Word's like "UT isn't very good."

I'm sure he digs the mealy-mouthed excuses by proxy, and will take all the support he can get in these coming days and games.

Problem is his actual mouth. Because just the other day I could have sworn it said, "I think we are really good."

Ehh. Mullen looked pretty inept in Florida’s first game. Letting the alpaca throw the ball at the end instead of running it to milk the clock almost cost the jort wearing white trash bandwagon Florida peeps the game.
You're saying Miami Fl is the same level of competition as Ga St.? I only wish CJP had let JG throw the ball and almost cost us the game..terrible comparison

Well Pruitt says execution and can't get lined up right.... He said the same things last year....If we can't get "lined" up right and its been over a year then wtf?
The frightening thing about not being able to line up correctly is that Pruitt has stated repeatedly that his defensive scheme is simple by design. He wants players to fly around reacting to what they see without being slowed down by having to think about any complexities. So here we are in year 2 and players can't even line up properly in his simple scheme? Pruitt has repeatedly crowed about how he was a high school coach and a "teacher" and how he values the ability to teach in his assistant coaches. So, why is there such confusion at this point?

Pruit grew up in football and has worked for some great coaches. It's in his blood. He has moved around a lot, though, and doesn't seem to stay in one place very long.

He seems to have some decent basic principles about discipline, leadership, teaching, practice, and recruiting. But he doesn't seem to have developed much of an overall vision and philosophy that puts all that together, and may not be as flexible or able to adapt to circumstances. Maybe that will come with experience.

Mostly, He dosen't seem to have the personality, style, vocabulary, intelligence, management skills, polish or charisma to be CEO of a multi-million dollar operation with lots of moving parts. He was plucked out of middle-management ranks and thrust into the spotlight. He inherited a mess, possibly before he was ready or able to clean it up..

Of course it was a great opportunity for him and of course he jumped on it. It's possible he's having regrets. He may have been in denial about the enormity of the task, and may now be starting to realize he isn't experienced enough and maybe not even cut out for the job. Fulmer can help him grow into it if Pruitt will let him and if he can put aside any stubborn pride. We can only hope it's not another example of the Peter Principle in action.

Yep, that happens when you lose 3 straight games including a Sunbelt team.

At this point, I think he wants to be fired. He has lost his fire and desire for the job that he had early last season.
I think Jeremy Pruitt wants to go back to being a DC somewhere where he wont have to deal with the pressure he has being a head football coach.

Pruitt won't last long enough to learn how to be a head coach here. For better or worse, he'll probably take Fulmer down with him. Hopefully, the old boss learned something from the Shiatno debacle and won't try that again when they retake the reigns.

Have you heard of this new thing in football called defense?
Our probs are SO much bigger than Chaney (lulz).

Indeed!
Tennessee's defense didn't have a clue and couldn't even get lined up correctly, this tells me there are Huge problems at UT

Are we so low on talent we cannot compete in the Sun Belt?
