We will have a great recruiting class this year.....just wait till the season starts. when we win the east ( including wins over lsu and ark.) we will have everyones attention!!! 10 win season this year!!! get ready!!

What I am worried about the most is that recruiting has changed so much over the last few years. It used to be that no one would be committing before December let alone in May! I think Texas really changed the way it has been done by doing its camp and getting all of those early commits.

I think it may also have to do with the huge emphasis on being an EE. I have seen more kids enroll in school in Jan the last few years than I probably saw combined the previous 20.

I can somewhat agree with this. It would be nice to not get blown out in any of the underdog contests. When it comes to getting the upset, I want that win in the swamp badly.

100% agreed. Not only will it be huge because it's UF, its a huge shot of confidence EARLY in the season for the team and the fan base. Plus it will be huge for CDD to get a head start on the inevitable rivalry he will have with CWM.

Yeah, really.

Half of the espn 150 are committed.

As far as recruiting goes nowadays, using the word "committed" just doesn't feel right. I would guess a pretty good percentage of those "committed" prospects will end up changing their minds. None of them are truly committed until they sign that LOI.

It depends.

Will tennessee sign some players that can contribute? Yeah. Will the people they sign all be worthy of a D1 scholarship? Yeah.

Are they going to sign a class ranked in the top half of the SEC? I don't think so.

Are they going to sign a class that a championship team is built around? I don't think so.

Of course this years class won't be a class that a championship team is built around. It will be mainly built around depth for the dline and linebackers.

For as much as you're on here I'd figure you'd realize that.

I think after the uncertainty of NCAA sanctions are settled, they will come. Also after we win some games and don't get blown out by anyone, they will come. When we beat UGA and one or two others this year, they will come. All in all we will have a top 15 class and maybe a top 10. Just you wait and see! Then you will say why the heck was I so worried, we got CDD, CJW, CHH, CCB, CPS, and we are TENNESSEE!

I'm a little bit concerned that the vols find themselves recruiting against Cincy,Troy, east carolina and other bottom feeders for players. One of our commits doesn't have any stars. Who did we beat out for him? Pennsicola state technical school for the def and blind? I do hope that you guys are right and that there is nothing to worry about.

Rivals hasnt evaluated yet. Not that it matters what they think a whole lot. only thing that matters to me is what Dooley thinks. I have bought in to Dooleys philosophy along with the players. Something a lot of fans need to do. Back the program

Not worried now at all. Commitments this early have a tendancy to decommit later on. Now if we get to November and December with low numbers, then I'll worry. I also think there may some who are really leaning toward the Vols that are waiting to see the

Completely agree with your assessment. No post season ban and at the most a reduction of 2 scholarships doesn't hurt recruiting much. If we go 1-3 to start season that's going to hurt or finish less than 7-5 that's going to hurt some to.

Should have an option for "not yet." Once the NCAA comes back with minor football penalties, I'll be concerned come September if we haven't bagged some biggies.

am i the only one who caught tht the Question was Who in concerned about recruiting, with the answers being yes or no

If we win 10 games this year, we should win a NC in '12.

I'm not the least bit concerned about the recruiting at UT. As long as the NCAA continues to go hard at the cheaters around college football UT will be just fine. Dooley is hopefully running a clean program and the NCAA is chopping the cheaters down to size. The schools that were cheating should be scared to continue doing it, which should help level the recruiting. Things such as facilities, coaching, atmosphere, and NFL potential will rise to the top of the recruits lists and not money. UT should rank with the tops in the nation in all those categories, and should have a great chance of becoming a top destination for recruits. Just my .02
