How much better did Lofton make other guys when he played for Buzz Peterson? The credit for this team's success begins and ends with Bruce Pearl. Houston was a much, much better player. All the people picking Lofton in this thread need to go to the NFL forum and erase all of their posts that Peyton Manning is superior to Tom Brady. If you're going to credit individual players for team achievement, be consistent.
I'm no hatvol but Houston is a much better player. Houston did what he did with no team around him.
Lofton though has had better sucess as a team player. He has a SEC East Championship, a NCAA appearance, a buzzer beater in the 1st round, SEC AP Player of the Year award and hopefully a solid run this year.
Houston had a finals appearance in the SEC tourney I believe one year. I think they lost to Arky the eventual National Champs?? I am not sure on that.
To be fair, Lofton was a true freshman under Buzz Peterson, but I agree that it's not even close. Houston was better.
